Last week: 4-10 (wtf) YTD: 89-57

Let's try and do better this week, shall we?

NO @ HOU 1:00 PM- I literally flipped a coin for this game. Ok, not really. No reason for the Saints to continue sucking... right?
KC @ IND 1:00 PM- as much as it would please my black heart for Peyton to keep losing, not happening at home
OAK @ MIN 1:00 PM- LOLpepper goes home!
NYG @ DET 1:00 PM- poor Detroit. That great start and now the rest of their schedule rapes them.
MIA @ PHI 1:00 PM- Help me Mr. Bill Parcell's Life Coach, you're my only hope!
SD @ JAC 1:00 PM- Why am I picking so many road teams this week? Could it have anything to do with the absurd number or road teams that won last week?
ARI @ CIN 1:00 PM- I don't know why I'm picking the Bengals, they're terrible.
CLE @ BAL 1:00 PM- Derek "Horse Balls" Anderson will get it done.
CAR @ GB 1:00 PM- There's no feasible way for the Panthers to win this game.
TB @ ATL 1:00 PM- Word out of Atlanta is that Petrino might switch back to Sandwich after Joey leads us on a 2 game winning streak. WTF? Ugh.

PIT @ NYJ 4:05 PM- My reverse psychology trick worked great on Rooflesburger last week.
CHI @ SEA 4:15 PM- THE SEX CANNON IS BACK!
WAS @ DAL 4:15 PM- Anyone else think Gibbs is seriously senile?
STL @ SF 4:15 PM- Yup, I honestly believe San Fran is the lousier team.

NE @ BUF 8:15 PM- Ah, Lord Brady continues his march of destruction.

Monday, November 19th
TEN @ DEN 8:30 PM- VINCE YOUNG NO LONGER WINS FOOTBALL GAMES

Word on the street is that Petrino might be pulling a Saban and going to LSU after Les Miles goes to Michigan:P

Speaking of jerseys, I can get a Byron Leftwich Jags jersey for only $30! That's actually almost worth it, hehe.

I'm just glad I never bought that Matt Jones jersey.

FYI, Andre Johnson is back this week for the Texans.

Think about this. Andre Johnson.....Jason David......one game......I am expecting at least 50 fantasy points out of him this week!

ok i need fantasy help to help my team out of the gutter

heres the trade:

Team A gets:
Braylon and Jacobs

Team B gets:
Addai and Reggie Brown

who gets the better deal?
(receiving and rushing yards is 1pt per 10yds and 6pts for a td)

Yes, but it was the Titans without Stompy Haynesworth, and he does make a big difference (now that he's in a contract year). Hell, he could very well be the best player in the NFL right now.
Actually, Jack Del Rio said that before the game - and before it was known he'd be out...

I completely agree. I've watched every Titans game this year and as soon as I found out that Haynesworth wasn't playing, I knew that it would be a tough game. He has just been dominating this year.

Think long term, 10 years from now a Leftwich Jags jersey will be punkasfuck awesome. I wish I had a Jeff Goerge Colts jersey.

Close, but Team A gets the better deal.

As long as we're on fantasy...I'm a playoff team looking ahead at Week 14, 15, and 16 matchups. But my league is (stupidly) a 2 QB league, and aside from my rock Benny Roffleburger, I've been trotting out a motley crue of losers like Trent Edwards, Josh McCown, and Testaverde ever since I traded Favre. I can't win in the playoffs with those guys, and my runningback situation is pretty tentative as well, so it looks like I'm going to have to ship out one of my all-pro receivers.

Reggie Wayne is #2 in the Colts offense once Harrison comes back, plays in a consistently strong offense, and has a nice playoff schedule:

at Baltimore
at Oakland
Houston

Hines Ward is #1 in the Steelers offense, has Roethlisberger throwing lights out to him right now, but plays a tough playoff schedule except for a cupcake on championship weekend:

at New England
Jacksonville
at St. Louis

Braylon Edwards is #1 in a pass-heavy offense with Derek Anderson doing great, and plays three soft defenses in the playoffs:

at NY Jets
Buffalo
at Cincinnati

My backups are Andre Davis of Houston (eh) and Antwaan Randle El (meh). I'd probably plug in Davis.

Right now I'm targeting either Jeff Garcia or Kurt Warner, preferably Garcia. It pains me to break up this sick trio, but if one had to go I'd probably send Heinz, just because of the brutal first two rounds.

How big's the league? With 8 or fewer players, the 2-QB setup rocks. Any more and you end up with people without backups, which can suck. Encourages trading, though. :D

The really stupid thing was trading Favre away in a 2-QB league. I hope you got some serious value for him.

Definitely Team A. But then again I'm a big Jacobs mark.

As far as fantasy leagues with 2 qbs, I'm big on it. It does work best with 8 teams, tho. Our dynasty/money league has 2 qbs and individual defensive players, which I am also big on. It does make qbs more important than rbs, tho. But again that just makes sense. Actually our league is a bit unbalanced right now because we're getting a point per reception which I feel is too much and results in WRs being more valuable than rbs- which is fine with me as I have Moss, Welker, Braylon Edwards and Lavaurnes Coles as my WRs and Kellen Winslow as my TE (in addition to Brady and Favre as my qbs... it doesn't really matter who I start at RB, but I have Jacobs and Lynch). Yes I'm in first place, yes I've only lost once and will be collecting about $600 in a couple of months.

Or even better, 1-week ban bets!

I'll take that bet, the avatar I have for you is much better than what the eagles fans gave you.

This happens when you have WIDE OPEN receivers down field but the guy at QB is afraid/can't pull the trigger because of his noodle arm. Let's be realistic here, we've won the past two games in spite of Joey not because of him.

We've won the last two games because we've gone back to a running heavy style of offense, which is what this team is still currently constructed to win with. I'm not saying Petrino's offense won't work, but we don't know because we don't have the personnel for it.

As far as Joey goes, yes he's not the answer. But I remain convinced that Leftwich is even less the answer.

Harrington is a better QB than Leftwich. Besides, what's the point of having the strong-armed passer when we don't have any all star receivers that can catch the deep balls. This offense is built on the small-gain screen pass/running offense.

Uhh....Have you seen Roddy White at all this year?

While Roddy White is having a good year, he's not exactly what I had in mind. If I'm going to run the Patriots/Green Bay pass offense, I want a receiver that's tall as hell like Moss, TO, or Calvin Johnson.

Roddy has made incredible strides, but in order for Petrino's offense to work properly I'd say we need at least one more deep threat. I still want to trade D-Hall for Chad in the offseason.

I'm hoping Laurent Robinson can develop in to one but I agree we need another vet in the interim. I'm not so sure I want to get rid of D-Hall just yet if he can keep his damn cool (that's a big IF though), but if we did it would have to be for someone like Ocho Cinco.

I think you have to get rid of him even if Petrino does bolt. It sends the wrong damn message to the locker room to let him stay after his fucking childish actions. But then again Arthur Blank has no concept of how to properly treat players, so who knows.

As far as Robinson goes, I too hope he develops into something but it will likely take at least another year or two and if we want to actually implement Petrino's offense it's going to take an awesome receiver and a beastly o-line... and probably a bruising rb.

McFadden would be nice if he fell to us and all of the QBs who are worth a 1st round pick were already gone.

I don't think McFadden will fall for a couple of reasons... first of all, most of the teams that it looks like will be ahead of us aren't going to draft a qb because they just drafted one. Miami has Beck, Oakland has Russell, NE has San Fran's pick and would love to take McFadden I bet. Second, we're winning now for some reason and likely not to get the top pick... although I would bet hard money against the Falcons if they switch back to Sandwich.

I like how Triumph made sure to put in "according to Mort."
While pretty much anything from the World Wide Leader should be taken with about a truck load of salt, Mort is especially suspect after the whole Eli debacle.

Yeah, not in a 12 team league where Tarvaris Jackson sleeps through his alarm and there's a feeding frenzy for Brooks Bollinger.

It's okay, I traded a slumping Favre for a returning Rudi Johnson to bolster my struggling RB corps.

Fuck.

So anyway, Garcia's owner didn't bite on Ward and old man Testaverde, so it looks like I'll have to make a play for Kurt Warner, who has a good playoff schedule but worries me by virtue of being Kurt Warner. Or maybe God will smile on me and John Beck -- who I snagged off waivers -- is the new Dan Marino.

That's bad, man. Of course in our league it's a keeper/dynasty league where you get 10 keeper spots and 25 roster spots, so we all hoard qbs like no one's business. It's quite sensible to draft back ups in the 20 rounds because who knows what can happen? I took a flier on Brody Croyle in the 25th for that reason.

So not even enough QBs for everyone to have starters and a bye-week backup. Nice. The sort of league where someone probably still has Quinn Gray on their roster...

Not just on the roster, but starting.

I will make an avatar bet (or a ban bet if anyone has balls) with anyone who picks the boys over the skins. The skins "can" provide a challenge...and i'm hoping this is the break out week that sends us on a winning streak all the way to the playoffs.

I'm tired of not seeing enough skins love so i'm going to join the gaf skins crew. Bringing it to a total of what....3? :D

GO SKINS....tip them cows!

OK, Colts president Bill Polian must be stopped.

Brad from Harrisonburg, VA: An nfl.com article stated: “Because of the antics of Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville, a rule was instituted that all NFL mascots must stay behind the six-foot white border around the field at all times during games.” What incident is this alluding to?
Vic: Jaxson spent a little too much time on the field for Colts President Bill Polian’s tastes during the Monday night game on Oct. 22. Polian filed a complaint with the league.

You got to be shitting me. You actually think we won those 2 games because of Harrington?? You can't have actually watched the games. Our defense, with some small help from our running game, won us those games. Like story said, Joey's arm is so weak that Petrino has had to resort to short out passes. When was the last time we actually took a shot down the field? Our offense and Petrino's play calling seems to be crippled with Joey in there. I can't wait for Leftwich to get back.

On that note I would to announce that R.I.P Due Process has clinched a playoff spot in the American GAF FFL at 9-1. :D

I think we need to get an update for the GAF FFLs.

there's LiveWire, sonnyboy, Ninja Scooter. At least two others that haven't been posting much this season. I think DJ Demon is gone for good too.

But I only see LiveWire posting this week. I guess the rest are hiding after the loss to the Eagles. COME OUT OF HIDING AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!!!!! Go Skins!

God... I love football

The packers just keep getting better and better as the season goes on. Hopefully they will be up the challenge when they face off against the cowboys for the conference game.

I totally can't understand your love for Leftwich. He takes longer to get rid of the ball than Joey and is prone to getting hurt, you know LIKE HE DID IN THE FIRST AND ONLY FUCKING GAME HE STARTED.

But whoo, he can toss the ball downfield. He's not gonna have time to with his shitty windup and our shittier o-line. It's time to face the fact that if we want to win any games this year (and I still say we shouldn't want to at this point), then we do that by running the ball and tossing short passes. Which is what this team is currently staffed to do. No use pretending to be something you aren't and on top of that AREN'T EVEN CAPABLE OF BEING.

Yes, Joey didn't win those games. But making a change now can fuck with chemistry and the locker room. You can't seriously think that Leftwich makes this team better.

Scrimmage? Scout team for the opponent's next game?

Scout team? Usually scout teams try to emulate their opponents. The 49ers are not doing anything even vaguely resembling football. I'm not sure why they even take the field at this point. What can they possibly gain by going out there? They should at least do some crazy stuff to keep people interested. Try Gregg Easterbrook's idea of never punting. Run a wishbone offense. Use a FG Block Formation on random passing downs. See how many laterals you can complete in one play and they try to break your record.

They should watch Florida Gator gametape and just run every play they do. Don't even bother mixing it up. Run every play that they do, in order, for two or three weeks. Since Urban Meyer actually made Alex Smith into the number 1 pick, run his offense. It would take at least a few weeks for the opposition to catch on to what the hell is going on, and by then maybe they'll stumble onto something that resembles offense.
