OK, Brandon Jacobs wants a rule where players can't tackle running-backs below the knees....should we just go to flag football already?

Because then he could never be tackled. If you have to go high on Jacobs you're better off just ducking/fleeing the scene of the crash.

Not true. If you watched the Cowboys game you notice Jacobs can be brought down from behind with ease. It takes one arm on the waist and the other grabbing behind the neck on his shoulderpads and pulling him down.

You didn't have to describe the tackle, you said it was a Cowboys game.

:lol

Steelers go to 8-2 after this week.

I still can't believe the said they would rather take Eli over Ben on Mike and Mike. Boggles the mind!

It's pretty ironic that Jacobs would say that since the reason Kevin Burnett taunted Jacobs was because Jacobs was going for Burnett's knees when blocking.

Bolded Mike is from Notre Dame. His football opinions on anything mean nothing. He makes poor life choices.

I don't even think Eli is a bad qb, but that one is a hard one to justify looking at their careers so far.

I'd agree. Ben appears to have a similiar "Ability to Win" to Vince Young. And he's not from Texas, so I have no problems with him.

I just had an appendectomy and I can see why Ben sucked last year. He's back to being good now.

Ben over Jesus himself (Thomas Brady). Amirite?

Mike Greenburg said the Giants would go 4-12 this year, and Mike Golic predicted 8-8 for them. So it's not like they're biased for the Giants or anything.

I only compare Ben with mortal quarterbacks and not hellspawn.

And a lot of people picked the Giants to stink this year. They are obviously better than some expected.

whats stopping the giants to go 8-8? They could fall in the toilet just like any other team. Of course they won't but this football season is crazy. Expect the unexpected.

They might. Look what they did last year.

But they won't because they have the Man Beast Brandon Jacobs killing everything in his path.

If I were to give my honest, non-biased opinion...

I'd go with Ben Roethlisberger by a hair at this point over Eli

But, of course, there should be a footnote about the kind of offensive systems they were both put into.

But let's have some real talk here CK, I know you're coveting our back-up, Joey. But you can't have him. We're gonna need him in the 3rd quarter this week. That's just the way it is.

Wait, I thought you were a Pats fan?

I'm sadly a Falcons fan first and foremost, but unlike unrealistic folks I think we should be really shitty for a couple of years to get some quality draft picks into our system and train them properly.

I'm a Pats fan for three reasons:

1. First and foremost, I have Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Wes Welker in my dynasty fantasy league. Since we get a point per reception for receivers, Randy and Welker are pretty much more valuable than most RBs and I don't need to say anything about Brady.

2. It's fun to taunt the absurd anti-Pats maniacs, both on the internetz and IRL.

3. Being a Falcons fan, I wanted to know what it's like to root for a winning franchise. :-/

I've noticed that there really are a lot of people who hate the Patriots. There don't even seem to be that many fans of them, at least not here.

I dunno what to tell you as a Falcons fan though. Brian Brohm is pretty good, he might give you guys a chance to fall just far enough out of the draft order to be in some trouble since next years class is going to have some quality talent.

That maybe didn't help.

I wouldn't.

I never argued the 8-8 prediction. They may end up that way, who knows. But 4-12? Plus Peter King and other writers blasted Eli all off-season, how awful he is, no leadership, etc.

does anybody really listen to, or care, what peter king says?
If I was given a gun with one bullet and locked into a room with Peter King and Gregggggg Easterbrook I would meticulously line them up to get a double kill.

:D Giants are now credited with ONE sack.
According to the updated game center sacks.

Apparently, Osi's sack was successfully taken away

just running backs? I really don't know what to say.
Nothing much to say aside from Jacobs is an idiot.
Oh I can't wait to see what he says about his sack being taken away:lol

But I'm supposed to just be a glory seeker or something. I'm like the black sheep, aren't I?

How about an update on my team search?

After 10 weeks:

1. Kansas City
2. Carolina
3. Buffalo

No way, shoot Easterbrook twice. The guy needs to realize that Page 2 on ESPN.com is in no way a fucking political forum.
Well, it was cool when Hunter Thompson did it. But Greggggg ain't no HST.

Really, both of them deserve to die for the Favre fellating. I say this despite the fact that Favre is my 2nd qb in my dynasty league... I still can't bring myself to revel in his antics since I'm already backing the Pats to be obnoxious.

In a show of how awesome Pro Bowl voting is. Chris Hanson, punter for the Patriots is leading the pro bowl punter votes......and he is currently THIRTY-SIXTH in punting.:lol

He's thirty sixth in punting...by what stat? I'm sitting here looking at NFL.com's punting stats page and there is no logical order for the players. It's not average, net average, number of punts, total yardage, there's no stat that clearly descends here. It's not even in alphabetical order. I'm baffled.

Either way, it's impossible to vote for a punter based off of statistics, or at least one statistic. If you're being serious about it, you have to look at how many punts are downed inside the twenty vs touchbacks and net average vs total average. Plus you'd have to watch games to see how he affects the field position in different situations. The only real choice that most fans have is vote for my team's punter because he does pretty well or don't vote for him because he sucks.

Well, Chris Hanson is a frickin' master at booming a punt right through the endzone instead of punting inside the 20. Believe me, he was the Jags punter for a time.:lol

And the way NFL ranks it must be based off punting average combined with something else. He's ranked 33rd in punting average....at least it looks like he's cut down on his horrible touchback modes.
