We will need to share our gamertags for this one dudes. OutRun 2 is going to be my favorite racing game of all time and therefore that's going to be the only game I will play on my XBox. Just imagine 8 players racing at the same time !!!!!!! Hope it will support the custom soundtrack.
sega is too stupid to put courses from their other famous racers in the game. i'd think the original outrun with redone gfx and outrunners with redone gfx. what would be cool as hell is if its the original 2d outrun, somehow do trasitions between 3d and 2d at course splits. kinda like jumping back and fourth thru time. Fzero??? LOLOLOLOL. you'd fall off the course every 3 seconds. i wouldnt mind seeing the original arcade HORNET as a selectable car.
i don't think circuit courses from daytona or super gt would make sense. they're too different from outrun's core game, and would probably require different driving mechanics in order to be playable.
i'm guessing remakes of the courses from outrun and outrunners. which would be AWESOME. although they'd really need to put traffic on the outrunners tracks.

I think people are thinking more Outrun style courses but with Daytona decal. The most obvious example would be having the course go by a Sonic mountain, and maybe for that stage all the traffic would be Daytona cars.

green hill zone is a good guess. i'd agree it'd be something sega fans would recognize and go with the outrun theme, as one track changes into another and are all sorta colorful etc.
i'd love the night city track from hang-on though...that would kick ass.

Anyway, I've said all along that the game needs extra courses for the game to be regarded in a positive way. And I think the OutRun and OutRunners maps would do the job just fine. I wouldn't mind seeing the super course from Daytona 2: Power Edition as an extra bonus (the three courses from Daytona 2 linked together), but that's probably a bit unrealistic.
Oh yeah, I think it'd be cool as hell if the secret person was Michael Schumacher...perhaps be able to race him in the game in a couple F1 cars, or perhaps try and match his times and post them online or whatever.
It'd be neat if the game had some Ferrari featurettes as well...a couple videos on their general and racing history, photos and small videos showing all their cars, maybe a small virtual tour of their Maranello headquarters. Stuff like that would really appeal to Ferrari enthusiasts.

Which is not to say jacques is bad in its own (well, i didn't like msr soundtrack at all) i'm just saying outrun soundtrack is maybe the most memorable, fitting, well composed soundtrack ever and every other composer gets titused in comparison.

By the way, I don't remember the name of the guy who did outrun's soundtrack, however i remember researching a lot on him a few years ago, and not being able to find whether or not he has worked on other games or composed other songs...
Anyone knows ?

I refuse to get excited about Daytona tracks in OutRun2 because you know how many times our chains have been yanked over things of this nature. remember HoTD1 locked within HoTD2 DC? remember Daytona USA 2 coming to DC?
that said, if by some miracle Daytona tracks are in OutRun2, I would hope for arcade only tracks. that is, from Model 2 Arcade Daytona USA, Daytona USA 2 BotE, PE.
