The turret needs to be this fast to be viable even in noob games. Against coordinated teams the turret doesn't live long.
I imagine it's a lot more viable in console versions.

But coming from TF2 I expect the turret to deal 3-4x the damage so it's pretty fine
Junkrat is the safe solution if you cant get angles on Pharah (coming from career demo/soldier)

Turrets are fine, I think. Their damage is actually pretty low.
Yeah, this. I like playing as Torbjorn and it's true that I rack up kills sometimes but when someone knows how to play against my turrets then I'm far less effective.

I guess that's why i didnt get the PotG for it and it was junkrat shooting gernades into the well that did
6 torb is impossible to deal with if the randoms won't cooperate, people we suggestioning 6 phara, junkrat, winston, but here's this torb on our team that insists on playing him attack. Ask him wtf he's doing he says he had a gold medal currently for eliminations so he's don't good, too bad take doesn't help us cap the first damn point.
You should play a custom game against AI, it's not only the turrets then that instantly spot and shoot you.
Wanted to train my Widowmaker this way but with those instant spots it's no use really haha.
Yeah they're both good. I got Valkyrie yesterday from a box. Also i find it so strange the amount of dupes you get with the amount of commons the game has. Like literally 3 dupe and 4 dupe boxes.
We're all Soldier 76s now.
Hate wen people play the game as if it were team deathmatch.
Every match felt like this today. Me and my buddy were the only ones pushing the payload or trying to take the objectives.

Tonight in Brawl, on Hanamura defense, me and my teammates all picked Reinhardt. All but one of us ended up getting Reinhardt. The sixth ended up a genji. Go figure. All of our enemies were 76's for the first wave. I think the RNG may occassionally break.
in that latest interview they said rewards would just be something cosmetic.

Wow, so I'm right at the end of a brawl last night, during a 2-3 hour marathon session that was supposed to be "just a few rounds before going to sleep." Somehow I had managed to help push the payload nearly to the finish, when all of a sudden my screen goes completely black. After trying desperately to ctrl-alt-del, I finally give up and try to restart completely... still no screen. Open up my case and my 780 video card has an odd smell coming from it.

Luckily I had an old Radeon sitting around so I can still use my PC, but this sucks. Might be a bit off-topic, but as someone who doesn't follow PC hardware all that closely, any suggestions for what would be a good replacement currently on the market? Probably want to go higher-end, but not the ridiculously expensive top-of-the-line. I think I heard on the Beastcast that some new video cards are on their way... should I wait it out to see if prices drop?

So if I end up playing Ranked primarily solo, should the matchmaking try and put me in games with other solo players? Or at least add me to even 2 or 3 person groups that are on both sides.
Otherwise there really isn't any way for me to tell if there are any pre-made groups in a game, right? So I wouldn't know anyway.

Keep calm and tracer on. The lamest voice line I've heard so far.
You haven't played good enough widow's. If you expose yourself 3 feet around a corner you die. Period. Tracer is not a counter when you have wallhack up, or they are listening for the flank and can snap shot.
I'm running into them and want to die and the entire game does revolve around committing 2-3 heroes and pressure and calling out positions on voicecomms, but they still get 2 kills in the 2 seconds you call positions and see what to do.
God forbid they actually have a decent team with them. Wallhacks being up 80% of the time one of the biggest issues. 150 body shot for how fast it charges is far far too much when you can double tap half the classes in 0.5s

Never played that, but I heard that the Sniper is just as frustrating to play against as Widowmaker. So, not sure why they repeat the same mistake (probably not in their eyes)

Get the new Radeon when it comes out at the end of the month. It's not on the same tier as the 10 series from nvidia but it's less this half the price and nets you decent performance

Though really, easiest way to nerf widow is to give one of the harassment tanks (winston or D.Va) a guaranteed way to get through without being critically sniped the whole way through.

The power gap between the two characters is the size of an ocean. The sniper in tf2 unscopes between every shot to load the next shot in the chamber. It also takes much longer to get a full charge. And the not inconsequential dot that shows everyone where he is aiming.
I never really got into tf2... I've always despised the game for a couple reasons. But widowmaker is a beast comparatively. And different games and all... still think that widows are too good here.

Problem is that if the team is good they have a mccree nearby to stop harassers.
Which even with the nerf is meant to destroy flankers.
Now if you have a skirmishing tank and a flanker working together...

I don't think she is broken,I think her toolset is too strong and especially in the hands of a good sniper, she dominates entire matches and as someone said earlier,the entire game becomes around "shut down the widowmaker".
People seem to think you can just "counter" her,but that's usually wrong, she can easily kill her "counters" and her grapple hook allows her to get away from them as well and just snipe them while in midair.

McCrees and Widowmakers tend to be quite far apart, so I don't find that too much of an issue, though I'm rarely playing against coordinated teams so that helps. My favourite thing lately has just been harassing people as Genji, I'm laughing the whole time. I'm not rolling in eliminations, but everyone who's hopelessly chasing me around isn't paying attention to the objective.
