Yep. Downloaded the anniversary update, turned off Xbox DVR, made sure it's not on power-saving mode and used DDU for a clean install.
Still runs ridiculously bad compared to before.
That's one of the worst aspects of this game. Thankfully I have a full group to play with and everyone's pretty good at defending when I heal.
Don't heal that jackass. Let him die.

tell the whole team on chat that you can't heal them if you are dead all the time, and if after that no one seems to care then I would just switch to an attack character and defend yourself indeed!

Are you on a laptop? Make sure it's set to use your dedicated GPU and not the iGPU of your CPU, or a hybrid of the two. Most WIndows updates restore GPU settings to default.
I had to enable my monitor's 120hz refresh rate after the anniversary update.
Wow. That's insane. I haven't seen those kids since I was a child and I'm in my early thirties now.
So many changes. Are they sure they don't want to put this on the PTR?

Just had an amazing competitive match on Volskaya Industries. It was tied and we were on defense for Point A. I am Ana with boost ready. My whole team dies and I managed to hide in a corner. Our Reaper shows up with his Death Blossom ready. I give him the boost as he jumps in. He gets 3 with his Death Blossom and then kills the last two and we win, they were maybe 5 seconds away from capping the point too. This game is so goddamn exciting sometimes.

Mercy is my 2nd most played hero in comp (20hrs) and your teammate is correct, imo. If you need to ask for help, your spacing and situational awareness is poor. Without ever asking for help, I average 7 deaths / 3 elims in solo queue matches and rarely die to Reaper ults etc, let alone pesky Genji/Tracers.

well, not everyone is as good a Mercy player as you. teammate could've just said, "i'll try" instead of being a dick about it. a bad attitude doesn't help anyone.

My SR for this season is so shameful. I kept playing after my initial ranking, thinking that I might be able to gain a few points, but it's been nothing but downhill. To make matters worse, it's been so long since I've played a match where one of my team members didn't leave. I must have really bad luck or something. I can take a loss, but damn if it doesn't suck knowing I could have had a somewhat decent rating if I didn't push my luck in solo queue. I'll be getting a 20 CP payout at the end of the season now, lmao. Oh well! I'll still get my icon and spray.

If you want to try HOTS, get a Recruit-a-Friend code. Gets you two free heroes, and you can't use it retroactively if you've played more than a couple games on the account.

going back to QP has been funnny. people on losing teams just rage quit as soon as they lose one round these days. no one actually tries to win unless they're already winning.
