Persona Community Thread |OT6| Where 6 Comes Before 5 (No PQ or P4U spoilers!)

Just to clarify, I don't actually know anything. I'm just speculating.

I think we all realize that, but after Smash, Persona has one of the fanbases most rabid for new game details, so I feel at least one person would ask about that, even if they don't actually have a GAF account.

Plus, I think that has more to do with one of the mods (pretty sure it was Aeana) saying that development did switch over to PS4 at one stage.

So guys I was playing Persona 4 and I played about 75 hours and I reached Heaven dungeon(and completed it) BUT my PS3 DIED on me without getting a chance to cloud save or get back the files.

Is there anyone here who can lend me their save on the PSN version on PS3 and is that even possible to do ?

I just can't see myself replaying anytime soon. There are too many repetitive things to do and I was too far into the game.

Help ?!

At this point I just want to conclude the game.

There are some PS3 saves on GameFAQS, but they leave off quite a ways away from your stopping place. The endgame one skips the last month or so of the game. The NG+ one would at least allow you to get back to your previous point relatively quickly (that being about 10-15 hours)

You may just want to youtube the post-November cutscenes and use the endgame file.

I had no idea there was another extended ending in P3 with
Chidori's revival/ being alive
!

Not sure if its in P3P as well though, I'll keep it in mind for my next p3 playthrough

I'm still in September and currently doing Naoto's dungeon. I wish could help you but I don't have PS+ and I have no idea how to put a PS2 classic save online. Getting a NG+ save is also a good idea if you don't mind sitting through the cutscenes again.

That's... actually not much.

Am I crazy for expecting more?

There's probably going to be 9 playable characters as opposed to DIVA's 6.75 and this is the first installment, so we shouldn't expect many per character.

There may be more per character than DIVA since one character probably won't get half the goddamned outfits like Miku does.

Looking at the PD wiki, Diva 2nd actually introduced about 7 per character, so I'm probably lowballing by a large margin. I'm just pessimistic that they're going to be given the resources to implement more, especially since unlike Vocaloid there isn't a wealth of fleshed-out designs already in their lap.

Aren't Atlus not appearing at TGS period? I just checked and they are not on the list of registered Exhibitors. Sega is though, so I guess they'll be promoting Dancing All Night.

In the DIVA games it's normally a costume per song. But the songs are character specific (due to the songs being created using different 'modules' on the Vocaloid software). The songs also have a theme so the costumes make sense.

All depends on how P4D goes. We can't really compare it in that sense as the songs aren't directly tied to the characters as they are in the DIVA games. Though without the song list it's all speculation, a good chunk of the songs could be character themes for all we know.

Then there are also the costumes that are already in P4, they might use those.

Me..I went as far as owning/reading all the novels too.

I played 1 when it first came out, if that counts, and my favorite is Code Veronica.

I recently discovered that you can play Resident Evil Outbreak online again. Outbreak is similar to the older titles, except your with a group of individuals (other human players) trying to escape Raccoon City.

The western release never had online back in the day for some strange reason, However, there's currently a patch going around that allows you to go online and play with others.

Would you guys and anyone else in this thread be interested in giving it ago in the near future?

I don't really think Persona 5 is going to be on the PS4 if it's been in development for so long - if anything, Persona 6 and onward will have the most likely chance of being cross-gen.

Guys, I have a confession to make.

I don't actually have a purse.

I hope I'm still allowed in this community, even after this.

Hey guys, I think I've stumbled upon something.

So, today, there was news on P4AU on p-ch.jp. Normal, of course, as it's an upcoming game. The link is here: http://p-ch.jp/news/detail/?nid=176

Now, you might be thinking? "What's so peculiar here? It's just the commercial info." Click the image. It leads you to: p-atlus.balco.jp/p4u2/special/tvcm.html

What we can assume from this, is that this is the main server where all of the files, contents, and previews for the HTML pages are. So, it would definitely make sense that an employee forgot to take the "balco.jp" subdomain out, as they may have looked at the preview page before making it public, and copied the link from it. (To those who don't understand, think of this as like a queue for posts on tumblr, but a bit more complicated and different)

It appears to be password protected. But what I found next, blew me away. It seems this is the main Apache server for the Persona sites. Here, take a look: http://p-atlus.balco.jp http://p-ch.balco.jp and lastly, http://persona5.balco.jp Try any other subdomain with it, and it won't work. For example: aajskdhskf.balco.jp or persona4.balco.jp That turns up nothing. This definitely adds more weight to the theory, as it proves these are real subdomains of this server. (p-atlus.balco.jp, p-ch.balco.jp, and persona5.balco.jp)

Oh, and guess when http://balco.jp was last modified? July 1, 2014, the day persona5.jp was last modified. Also, it's an Apache server. This, coupled with the password protection, and http://balco.jp (the site without the subdomain) being forbidden, and the fact that barely any information on the registrant is available, makes me believe this is the main server for the Persona sites, as all use Apache as well. It makes sense, too. If we assume balco.jp is the main Apache server with all of the files, it'd make sense that whoever was in charge of making the site forgot to change where the image is linked to, as balco.jp would be the main server with all of the site contents, in this case, making it perfectly capable that an employee forgot to edit that link.

What do you think, everyone? Seems a bit too connected to just be a sheer coincidence, to me.

EDIT: Googling "balco.jp" does not bring up any results at all with "http://balco.jp" as the link, just other sites with similar titles to the phrase "balco". This adds even more weight to the theory. A server is something that wants to be kept private, after all.

EDIT 2: The registrant of the domain, Noriaki Ikumoto, works for a company called BALCOLONY. That may tie into all of this.

EDIT 3: Indeed, BALCOLONY. are the ones hosting the servers. We can pretty much call this confirmed. They designed P4G's Japanese site, hosted under http://p-atlus.jp Remember, there is an http://p-atlus.balco.jp and all subdomains such as /p4g/ work on it. I think it's pretty safe to confirm these are indeed the file hosts for these sites. Here is proof that BALCOLONY. works on web design for products, such as games, etc.: http://www.balcolony.com/web/ and http://www.balcolony.com/movie/

EDIT 4: The sites BALCOLONY. have helped create, all share similar directories. /common/ and /common/img/ Those two directories also appear on persona5.jp Apparently, BALCOLONY. also designs logos and teaser sites, too. I think it's safe to say that balco.jp is really the file server.
