Sweet Mother of God is this level ever purdy.

What an upgrade.

From the tranquil music to the snow covered terrain my heart can barely take it.

What levels do you think stand out as exceptionally purdy in gaming history?

For me, everything comes together in Jolly Roger Bay for Super Mario 64.

The level is very calming as it has some platforming, but is mainly about swimming.

Even the music adds to this calm feeling with it changing depending on whether you are in the water or not:

Over 20 years since it launched, the Spencer Mansion in the Resident Evil remake for GameCube still looks amazing.
Even some games released in this day and age wish they looked this good.

I love the Click Clock Wood in Banjo-Kazooie.

Anor Londo is just beautiful. Arriving there and just soaking in the visuals back in the day on the PS3 was unreal. The artstyle still holds up.

I really wish we had virtual tourism modes in VR so we could be dropped into our favourite wolds at our leisure without having to play the game. I'd spend so much time to revisiting all these iconic locations.

The entire world of Horizon II: Forbidden West. Except the couldrons. Couldron feel dark and oppressive. But the rest of the world is just gorgeous.

REmake mansion -nothing has really been truly impressive since this happened. Doesn't matter that we know it's prerendered bg, in terms of what they accomplished with a game to our eyes, that's it.
