Sounds fantastic! Pikmin was QUITE a suprise, I must say. A friend of mine showed it to me earlier this summer (as I had never given it a try previously) and I was really impressed with it. Not more than a few weeks later, the Circuit City sale came along and I got it for $4.99. Sounds like the sequel really did address most of my complaints too!

Impressions and reviews have been very positive for months now. This shouldn't come as any surprise and certainly shouldn't be the one thing to sway people either way. Unless a particular part of the TEXT is encouraging.

I just played this game for the last four hours--this pretty stomps over the first game. Don't sleep on this one if you ignored or were disappointed with the first.

It brings me much joy. It's great to hear that Nintendo has really come to love the series internally, too. I personally hope the Pikmin brand sticks around for a long time. Seeing Olimar with a horde of Pikmin at his call in a Smash Brothers game would own.

The singing is one of my least favorite things about the sequel. That, and the treasure finder. Sure it's handy as hell, but jesus CHRIST the chiming grates after you've been playing the game several hours.
