I'ma pet all the foxes!!!
Like I do all the doggos in RDR2. Miffed I can't pet the kitties in it, but that is probably for the best. Cats will fuck yo shit up! Love em!

You are fighting monsters and supernatural shit in Sekiro and you are superhuman..... this is based on Samurai films and a more real style....where you can die in one slash if it is timed well. Other times it takes a few strikes. It mirrors reality very well....But sekiro's combat was much more in depth - compared to this I haven't seen anything to sell me on it. It wasn't a great demonstration if the game is going to have a lot of depth.
The combat looks sick. Parries, dodges, and Nioh's stance system.
I'm happy with the samurai segment.
Seriously funny seeing how people for the most party overwhelmingly laud Breath of the Wild as one of the best open world games ever and then I see tons of comments already like:
Combat seems really simple and bland.
Crap generic stealth.
The world seems empty.
Downgrade.
They didn't show any story.
All of these which could be easily leveled and are actually very applicable to Breath of the Wild.
People need to realize that great games are more than the sum of their parts and that you really don't know until you play them.

IMO, if peole are expecting Sekiro’s depth or difficulty you will be disappointed. I have yet to play a game by SP that has either.
Game looks pretty, Generic. Hype went down..

Sekiros style would not fit.
Hopefully it is due to the stream, because that was underwhelming ....Yeah I basically have the same opinion..
Didn't want to say too much about the graphics because I don't care THAT MUCH... but it just didn't look great. Maybe was the stream quality though.
I thought it was exciting, smoke bombs, crackers for doversion, ninja stars, bow and arrow looks like it feels great and there really is no other way to do assassinations and multiple takedowns...I absolutely love the art direction but that combat and stealth didn't wow me at all. Will wait for more hands on impressions.
resetera is probably talking more about BOTW than this game inself.

With Covid, I don't think that would have been very easy...Yeah, if you die to two hits I'm all for this type of combat. Was expecting something a little less scripted - someone actually playing it.
Watching this back at 4k. I know there is still YT compression though. If I am being super nit picky, at the 5:05 mark you see some average textures on the shack, for example. Again, don't get me wrong, Other than a few environmental textures seeming average, everything else looks really good. I am not even saying the textures I mention look bad, I realize it is a big open world game on current gen consoles, so not everything is gonna have 8k assets.
I wonder if it gets a PS5 patch or a full PS5 release? Pop-in looks pretty minimal from what I am seeing. Wonder how far the PS5 could push it farther
The combat in BOTW is pretty terrible and the game just doesn't have longevity for me but was fun to toy around with for a while and explore. I'm most likely buying this game as well and hoping for about the same based on the video. I'll assume much like BOTW people will LOVE this game for whatever reason too... more power to them, I wish I liked BOTW more it would have given me more entertainment for my money that way.Seriously funny seeing how people for the most party overwhelmingly laud Breath of the Wild as one of the best open world games ever and then I see tons of comments already like:

You people will never be satisfied. The game looks amazing. Day 1!

There also poisons you can use and there were ninja stars in the video...... probably loads more..
From resetera standarts yes, but I talking about the generic aspect. They are probably trying to find ways in which the game is racist, sexist, cultural appropriation, not even females, not even transgenders samurais, mad at Sucker Punch of not using people from the correct birth place making the game.
The stealth section looks good.
What this game needs to show though is going inside buildings, as that's when stealth will shine. If you can infiltrate castles and pagoda towers and see the interior that will be really nice.
The smoke bomb looks good. The stealth kills are cool, but the slowdown is a little too much.
I'm unclear how the kunai works. Can't tell how it's targeted or how it kills instantly. I almost think you have to time a button press to the flash of light on the blade, but I can't tell even when watching in slow motion.
Stealth will shine based on the level design. What we saw in the video was all flat architecture with limited ways to actually approach enemies. We'll see if they can keep the encampments interesting and let you go in buildings.
We still don't know if the game has towns. inFamous was like ALL town.
We also still don't know how you heal or what your life bar looks like, or how much damage enemies do.
What a generic response.
Give you 3

Hmm, looked a lot like HZD. Some of the animations are a lil' rough. Hope there are a big variety of enemies, and enemies that actually fight back, not ones that die in a split second.
Exploration is definitely #1 here for me. Combat is just a bonus.Combat either hard to show off and something you have to experience either it looks like a press x to win. Exploration is just like in any other open world. Collect shit to craft another shit. Landscapes look beautiful though.
The facial animation was done in English, thus it's dubbed. That dubbed movie feel!

Perhaps some of the people underwhelmed by this game were also underwhelmed by BOTW? I find posts like yours rather pointless as you aren't singling anyone out to actually identify any hypocrisy.
But either way; the presentation made it look kinda lame to me. Maybe I'll LOVE the game? Doesn't change what the presentation did for me. BOTW also looked kinda lame to me.. I ended up finding it fun for a couple dozen hours, so well worth the purchase either way.
Stunning game. Wow! I missed a lot, but seeing it in 4k I was able to catch a lot of details like NPC's fighting wild life. When he meets up with the guy in the woods and he mentions the woods are haunted by a vengeful samurai spirit I got excited! I hope the game is littered with magical shit like this. Can't wait.Watching this back at 4k. I know there is still YT compression though. If I am being super nit picky, at the 5:05 mark you see some average textures on the shack, for example. The music was fantastic as well. The song at the very beginning of the demo reminded me of one of the camp songs in Path of Exile, which also has a fantastic soundtrack.
