His down x in duel phase is really good. Has surprising reach and sets up pretty much most of his damaging combos. It always catches people off guard because of how far it goes. You just have to be careful because it's really punishable on block.

Bulk Up every chance you get.

Hmm I tried it, works alright yeah.

I get trashed by faster characters.

Lost my rank up chance. :(

Somehow managed to beat a Pikachu though.

I'm going for the Team Flare look.

I was going for Chara (from Undertale) <.<
Might change the background to sunflowers tho

And that last Shadow Mewtwo fight was a big step up from the rest of the game up to that point in difficulty <.>

Haven't bought this yet. How is Sceptile to play? Since there's no Arcanine I have to go for my next favourite.

Kind of hard to explain but tricky and ninjaish would be what I say. He can throw down plants and has things like a command grab, so he definitely has setups. He pretty quick and it seems like he would be more comfortable playing a rushdown kind of game.

Justin needs to do small string to test for counters, he is commiting the whole combo and getting countered pretty hard

Edit: Damn Justin rushing in and getting a hit just as his oponent tries to hit super. The sound came out but no super to be seen.

Edit2: The champion is out! Justin hit way too many counters with full combos. Well too bad.

Pro controller has been fine for me but i just saw this. Thought some ppl might be interested. ACTUAL WiiU controller not gamecube ones.

Pokken's learning process is even more painful for me than most fighters, those dastardly hidden* properties on certain moves can really mess you up if you don't know them.
Leading me to get to the bottom of why Chanderlure just beamed through my mirror coat (cuts through counter attacks apparently) and the peculiar Leaf Blade of Sceptile (it runs under counter properties).
Safe to say "know your enemy" is as important as ever.

*hidden as in if you haven't looked through a characters movelist then you likely wont know the quirk

It'd be hard to get used to another button layout now with Pokken to make a GCN controller feasible for me. The ABXY are just not in ideal positions. I think Smash would really need to ingrained into your soul for it to be it to be feasible.

Woah, Suicune vs Pikachu, both at 1 hp when timer runs out and Pikachu wins because its by % because of its lower max health (0.18% vs 0.16% of max health)

There is enough of a warning before the laser comes out. What I dont know how to deal is when they jump afterwards to hit you with and aereal projectile to catch you dashing forward out of the counter cancel

Can't have blue hair and the hat :(

Ah that is good.

Been playing the game for a while now and I'm getting into it.
Have a nice damaging Blaziken BnB combo here. (Making a combo video soon)

If anyone is up for a couple of games at the moment

Hyperkin is kinda crap, aren't they? There's also the Hori Gamecube-style classic controllers. Bigger d-pad on them too.

Highly recommend you stay away from that controller. It's terrible.

That feeling when a Gengar ult goes through your guard. :( At least... I think it did?

So it seems Braixen is the least popular characters? Barely any talk about her here or when facing players online.

So that's why I'm literally the only Braixen player I've seen online.

Oddly enough, I think Braixen might be my main. I really like how he plays.

I just went by GameStop and got a Charizard amiibo and the double sided Pokken pre-order poster. I didn't even buy the game there. Apparently I'm the only one who has gotten the poster, since the dude had to open the package to get me one.

I'll be putting it up Charizard side of course.

Can you do it on reaction? I always try do it on prediction

I've always done it on prediction too. I think if you react fast enough to the flash that happens right before the zoom in on Gengar that initiates the attack you might be fast enough to dodge it.

Anyone know what Gardevoir's close range options are? While I'm reasonably comfortable playing her close range in duel phase, I'm getting absolutely wrecked up close in field phase.

I wanted this poster and the Pokemon 20th anniversary one but had no idea you needed to pre-order for it. I just wanted to get one for free :'(

Jumping right away has worked on 99% of the Chandelure players I've faced online.

I'll try that tonight.

It can also be frustrating when they do the same thing in dual phase. I basically have to keep jumping over their long-range spam to get a hit in.
