Just done the green tournament, maining Weavile. It's fun, really fun. But are the Mewtwos the only unlockable characters? There seems to be space for more, I can't tell if it's plans for future content or just a massive tease.

How does the Shadow Mewtwo card work if you order this off the eShop?

There's no digital card or anything.
The card is just a temporary unlock and needs to be scanned every time you start the game to play as him.

So...just beat the league and unlock him permanently.

Got to the tournament segment of the green league and feel like hopping over to online for a round or two. I feel like I'm gonna get wrecked hard but I'm very much enjoying this despite not being too big a fan of fighting games. Weavile is very fun to play.

Edit: I do enjoy Smash & did enjoy Marvel vs Capcom 3 despite being awful at it.

This UI is clean, the actual game is low res as hell, I think it might be closer 480p, looks a lot like when I play a Wii game on my TV, only blurrier.

The game is fuzzy - especially the Pokemon models. Being a bright and colorful game certainly helps, the game's visuals are pretty inconsistent. The UI is crisp.

I was trying to gauge the online leaderboards to see how many people have played the game, but could only get down to a rank of 320 this morning.

The UI appears to be native 720p but the rendering resolution of the game graphics behind appear to be much lower.

Some other games do this, IIRC FF13 on PS3 had an output resolution of 1080p for the UI but the game graphics were 720p with some AA

Most PS360 games were sub 720p, but the IQ was usually far better than this.

I'll be honest. The dub in general seems utterly awful. Just got to the green league leader, and I was astounded at how bad that voice acting was...

Guess it's a good job it doesn't matter too much in a game like this.

The game definitely doesn't have the best picture quality. It doesn't detract from the game too much, especially since it's so frantic... But there's so many cool background elements and easter eggs here that are difficult to make out because of it.

Anyway, does anyone have an idea of what a tier list based on the arcade version looked like? I can't wait to see the meta for this game evolve.
