Also, what type of Republican is Nikki Haley? Like an actual moderate Republican like McCain before he pivoted to the Right in the 2008 race? A "moderate" Republican like Jeb or Kasich who occasional do or say things that are reasonable but if you listen to the rest of what they have to say or look at their record there are just bad things all around? Or a "moderate" like Rubio who people say is moderate but if you listen to literally anything they say/do you realize they are full of shit?

The second one.

Do we even have data on that? They have NY and SC in the same tier.

The article explains that Trump is unique in recent political history in that his strength is concentrated in both the South and the Northeast. If you look at the cross tabs on the states that have voted already, he does best among moderates and "slightly conservatives" while Ted Cruz mops up the ultra conservatives.

So their was a WaPo piece based on the Suffolk poll.

Problem is there are so few of these people in the poll this breakdown is inherently flawed. The amount of Carson voters going Bush/Kasich/Rubio was a bit eyebrow raising.

If the GOP want to stop Trump though it's kind of clear that Kasich needs to go.

She was originally TEA party supported if that helps. So similar to Rubio.

Despite Trump's strong first-place finish in South Carolina, Rubio's super PAC advisers claimed that the contest actually made him "weaker." Rubio finished second with Ted Cruz just behind him in third place.

Tompkins and Lerner then spent the bulk of the message to donors building out the analogy of Rubio as Potter and Trump as Voldemort.

"In Harry Potter lore, Voldemort, the Dark Lord, had a secret to his strength. His secret was his horcruxes," they wrote. "As each horcrux was destroyed, Voldemort became increasingly vulnerable, not increasingly strong. When all of the horcruxes were gone, Voldemort lost his one-on-one battle with Harry Potter."

Rubio's team terribly summarizes Harry Potter.

Fitting for politico, where you have to assume the reading level is too low to read Harry Potter so they're just regurgitating what a "source" inside the rival twilight and or fifty shades camp told them.

Politico is a mess.

Why would Carson supporters go to RUBIO

They're saying that Trump's Horcruxes are the other establishment candidates and that Jeb dropping out involves Trump losing another Horcrux.

It's such a pained analogy though (Voldemort actively created his Horcruxes whereas Trump wasn't really promoting establishment candidates) and the Horcruxes were only to stop Voldemort from dying (while Voldemort lost the last duel because he wasn't the true owner of the Elder Wand).

He shills his book a lot that he used to pay off his college debt.

It's like a comfort blanket for Carson supporters.

I hate that Twilight and 50 Shades are considered the "rivals" to Harry Potter.

Harry Potter has earned its place in literary canon with Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings etc. as enjoyable, whimsical fantasy. Children in fifty years will still be reading Harry Potter. Twilight is sexist, racist and borderline Mormon propaganda that no one will remember by that point.

Needless to say Rubio's metaphor is stupid... Harry weakened Voldemort by destroying his Horcruxes. Rubio is weakening Trump by letting him make more Horcruxes?

Yeah, so I finally found out the answer to how Bernie's going to get all this stuff passed, and holy shit, it's even more delusional than I thought.

Oh dear lord. Failing to realize how congressional districts work. Million men marches every time a vote comes up in congress. "Young people will bring their parents out!"

Don't worry, those blue and purple states are definitely going to save Rubio!

Trump's going to clean up in the North East. The "common wisdom" that the later states on the schedule are somehow adverse to Trump is such nonsense.

With a few more polling results like this, I'd love to see a "runaway" narrative form around Trump. Especially if he's at or near that magical 50% mark.

If he's inevitable, that bandwagon effect will kick in. His ceiling isn't as low as many think..

Seriously though, how the fuck is Rubio supposed to win blue states as a religious freak who hates gay people? I don't think Republicans in California or New York are that religious or homophobic.

50% does, yes.
We've been over this already, Trump is strongest in the South and the Northeast. Did we all forget how he completely annihilated the field in New Hampshire? He won literally every demographic. He won among voters who support amnesty!

Also Boston has tons of racists.

Trump is going to win the Republican primary based on how he demonstrated that he was a racist and Hillary is going to win the Democratic primary based on how she demonstrated how she understood the struggles that black people go through.

Basically, this is going to be another American election almost entirely about race.

Trump has no weak regions, he is just as strong in the South as he is in New England. Unless Iowa counts as a region.

1. Rubio says he'll blow Kasich if he drops out now.
2. ???
3. Maybe Rubio wins the Midwest?

Have there been other polls with him around 50%?
