Just constantly refreshing this thread on my phone today at work like everyone else. For those voting today, please do not get out of line and if you guys see voter harassment please report it.

Question for New Jersey GAF:. How did you vote on the referendum questions?

I'm leaning towards yes on the gas tax allocation. No fucking idea about the casinos, I may vote to allow them in North Jersey just to spite whoever paid for all those fear mongering ads.

Vote yes on the gas tax allocation IMO. Dedicating transportation revenue to transportation projects is a good thing.

oh i guess animal cages was prop 3?

Yeah. It sounds like a no-brainer at first, but I was nearly swayed by how it may negatively impact lower-income families who rely on cheap eggs for protein.

Ultimately I went with yes though. I figure, they've got 5 years to cushion the blow of any price increase, it's the direction the industry is moving in anyway and, ultimately, I don't think cheaper food is worth it if it means eliminating health regulations.

+1 Clinton in Ohio. Turnout seems to be higher this year, at least where I am. The line took about 15-30 minutes longer than in 2012. Pretty uneventful, though... Everyone in line seemed pretty pleasant and easy-going.

Does anyone else get super neurotic when voting? I swear I double-checked my vote, like, 3 or 4 times to make sure Trump wasn't in there (and then during the print-out).

Signed up for a mail-in in NJ a couple months ago but it never came, so I had to fill out a provisional vote today :/

My voting center was pretty busy, but moved really quick this morning thankfully. Took like 3 mins if you didn't have a provisional vote!

I was in a dark church and couldn't see ANYTHING.

Luckily, all of the Ds were on the top row, but I made sure to double check. But it was so hard to see, there was no light.

I'm the same way. Had to absolutely make sure I voted for Hillary and Tammy.

Oh boy, just voted.

Nervous as hell, but I did it. Line was pretty long but when I left it looked like it was winding down greatly.

No we wait.

I'm sitting here, praying that there's a similar uptick for Democratic downticket races that hasn't been detected due to a dearth of polling at that level.

Slate have the Votecastr feed since 8am but haven't made the editorial decision to publish yet, according to Votecastr. Vice feed should be live at 9.

I decided to wait in line and vote like a true patriot. Looks to be 30+ minutes in Scottsdale.

Maine Gov. LePage accused of voter intimidation

Maine Gov. Paul LePage is being accused of intimidating college students by saying students who vote in Tuesday’s election will be investigated to make sure they follow state law.

The Republican governor’s comment comes after officials at a private liberal arts college in Lewiston said fliers distributed on campus with incorrect information about residency and fees are a "deliberate attempt at voter suppression."

It's funny how all year people predicted record low turnout for this election when every group, unless your state, coughnccough, is intentionally trying to sabotage you, is up.

So I was just tapped on the shoulder by a random guy while I was leaf blowing a customer's lawn. Conversation went like this:

Me: *removes ear protection* "What's up?"
Guy: "Hey! Did you vote today?"
Me: "Yep! I early voted!"
Guy: *With the tone of an excited puppy* "Trump?"
Me: "No...Not Trump"

The guy stared into space for a few awkward seconds and then said "...oh, okay..." and sauntered off

Because a narrative was formed early on about Hillary not drawing voters to her (despite crushing the primary), and it stuck all the way through the election.

Tomorrow is the most important vote I'll ever have casted in my life. Been able to vote since 2001.

Yes, 2008 was significant, but that election was also a referendum on the previous 8 years. What it represented mattered but Obama's opponent was irrelevant.

This election, however, matters in ways I never thought. What Trump represents is as vile a thing I have ever seen in this country, politically.

This will be the first presidential my grandmother won't be around for. Four years ago she couldn't vote since she had been afflicted by Alzheimer's. In 2008 she proudly vote for Barack Obama. I remember her telling me she was hopeful America has turned a corner on the subject of race.

My grandmother has always been the most influential person in my life. Growing up my parents worked very late so every day was off to my grandparents place. Grandpa died in '95 after a brutal battle with cancer. Since then it was me and her a lot of the time.

My grandmother represents everything Trump does not love about this country. She was an immigrant in the 60s. She taught herself English within months. She entered the workforce as a new immigrant. She saved her money and built her own business in the early 70s. In the 80s my grandparents built a new business together.

When my grandfather got sick, she took care of him, managed to continue to help raise me, help my parents as always, take care of their big 2 story house (which she bought as just land in the 70s) all on her own, send her sisters money when they needed it.

She taught me so much. And most of all, to never discriminate, to never put people down for what they cannot control. Her house was always open to people. It didn't matter who they were. Nurses who came over left with a stuffed animal in their hands if they had kids or fruits from her garden if not (or sometimes both!).

To her, America was an amazing place. She left such hardship in Europe to eventually find herself here, build her family, set her seeds by being an independent woman and always being thankful for what this country allowed her to accomplish.

She's the type of person that would wait 5 hours in line tomorrow to vote against that hateful sack of shit. She's always been a reliable Democrat but the type of hate he represents would have drove her nuts.

And then to throw in the fact that Hillary Clinton, a woman who has gone through hell trying to prove herself in a old man's world, is up for the ballot with the way this election has gone, well, she'd have a lot of excitement tomorrow.

Well, tomorrow I get to cast the vote she never got the chance to make. To put a deserving woman in the seat of the most powerful person on Earth. I know she'd be proud I was there to make that vote.. And I don't care that California is locked in. I will always be able to look at myself and know I voted against that human excrement.

Anyway. Tomorrow it's here. Let's send a message, guys. Let's let the world know what America is supposed to represent, even if we don't always attain that goal. Because once we no longer aspire to be what we've always aspired to be, we lose everything all those people worked their asses off through centuries in this country to achieve.

I'm with Her. And Tomorrow, let's all be with Her Together.

Today is the day America stands up for who we are. Bruised along the way, maybe, but standing and proud.

Should've just yelled all lives matter and run away at full sprint.

I am in GA and normally the makeup of voting day would have people cheering for me for doing that. Today I think I would have gotten tackled. Tons of people, not nearly as many bloviating white men as 4 years ago.

My shirt didn't arrive on time for election day but it'll be here tomorrow for celebration.

I really need to buy the poster of this as well, one of my favorites along with the Obama HOPE poster.
