I don't understand votecastr. They have data or not?

Feels like they're stalling. Maybe they're getting occasional data dumps throughout the day and things are taking longer than they were supposed to.

Overall seems like a hot mess so far. Not ready for prime time.

But I'm fine with the idea in theory. Gives me something to watch while I wait for the results tonight.

The GOP will treat Trump like Dubya. They'll spend years pretending he never existed, all while the alt-right tears them apart from the inside.

No, no. This isn't directed at you I think the whole idea they're doing this is stupid. They're clearly not posting context of their numbers. People are just going to go with this and have no idea what it means. This is why there's an embargo on this stuff. They wanted to feel clever, and do their own thing.

Also, they're not asking any questions about demographics or anything to weigh these results. Its such a mess of an idea.

That's OK. Watching it, I'm not even from the US and I can tell that they're not handling it very well. I agree with you.

Yes, Alucard really voted for Clinton.
My ballot:

In the end I couldn't pull the trigger on Trump. While he's someone who I really wanted to vote for on an emotional level, you have to realize that he simply isn't a true believer, just another GOP snake oil salesman, only more bombastic and less intelligent. I am glad he ran, and I hope his movement continues to grow and eventually pushes the Grover Norquist chamber of commerce types out of the party. This time it was free trade, in four years it might be regressive taxation, or lax financial regulation, or labor rights. When the day comes that the base fully awakens and forces the party to move beyond trickle down and hostility to labor, I’ll be ready to support them, but until then I’ll continue to begrudgingly vote for Democrats.

(And yes, I totally broke state law by taking this photo)
Putting it on this page to get ahead of the understandable disbelief from some posters.

Big interest, big turnout and lines moving pretty steady at battleground polling places.

History happening.

More. more. more.

From one of Clinton's press people. Sounds good if super high level.

Sort of saw it coming. It's hard to be in the Trump tank and enjoy a Bernie rally at the same time.

edit: I drove by a few voting places in Durham, NC. Steady turnout but at least in the subruban areas of the county it's not a mind-blowing wait.

Chris Jansing killing the hopium in Ohio. She said she talked to a bunch of black voters and a number of them said they had family members that were staying home.

I love Popeyes -- how is KFC even in business. Just wow. Incredible food.

KFC has a lower franchise fee for new owners. Last time I looked, Popeyes was $400k, KFC was $250k, which is why you see more of the latter. It's not really because of the food; just growing the raw locations takes more capital.

Anyways, I'm in Cali, so the gf and I expect the election to be over before the West Coast officially ends things.

Missouri here. I'm having a bit of an issue and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

I went to vote in St. Louis County (+1 Hillary/Kander) and when they scanned my ID they said I wasn't registered. I know I am registered as I just voted in the primaries so I looked it up online at "http://s1.sos.mo.gov/elections/voterlookup/" and it says I'm registered but "there may be an issue with your registration." They had me fill out a provisional ballot, but I can't get through to the number on the website [(314) 615-1800] to find out/correct whatever the problem is. It's either a busy signal or I get on hold for ~10 minutes and then I get a disconnected to a busy signal. Any thoughts?

I was not expecting a follow up here. Thanks for educating me on that. I still love Popeyes

Fuck my diet for today.

I'm going to consume nothing but whiskey, cornbread and GoFast for the next 12 hours.

Also, we bet the election results on the pinball tournament last night and I won for Hillary with 200mill on Fish Tales.

You're welcome.

A lot of people hopping off the loser train.

That's how it generally works. People hate being on the losing team.

I have a big ol' package of ice cream waiting for tonight!

Trump had absolutely no ground game yet he is still going to get 40%+ of the vote.

Pretty impressive and terrifying at the same time.

I imagine the line might be kinda busy today. I'm sure you'll get it straightened out eventually.
