Okay, so why not some anecdotal evidence because fuck it this is a post reality world in which we live.

Fiance and I drove 14 people to the polls today. (Not through the campaign, just on our own). One lady is hard of seeing, so I walked her into the polling location so she wouldn't trip or get hurt. I just waited off to the side for her. There where three (white) men in their 30s who were irate as fuck because they weren't being allowed to vote. Two of them were not registered, and the other one may have been, but lived in a different county. They didn't know they had to be registered, nor did they know where they were supposed to go. According to the woman checking people in, these weren't the first people (obvious Trump supporters) that had no idea what to do. Again: GROUND GAME.

TYING INTO THAT

We decided to take the local Democratic office some food. We got a sub platter and some stuff like that. Hillary's office was JUMPING. Tons of people making calls, getting people to the polls, etc. Just a million people and in a very red part of Ohio.

The Republican office is next door. (trump has no official campaign office near me for some reason). There was no one there. It was closed. Not a single soul had been in there the entire day.

This supports my theory that Trump supporters are enthusiastic in unproductive ways, while Hillary voters are enthusiastic in supportive and productive ways that further the GOTV cause.

Why would you do that?

Huh, I just remembered that my first Presidential election I voted for Bill Clinton.
I wonder if Bill will make cookies when he's back in the White House?

Here's the thing: even if Trump was successful at voiding those votes past 8pm or whenever the cutoff was (and ignoring the fact that as long as you are in line, you're fine) - since it was an early voting cutoff, wouldn't those voters get the chance to go back and put their vote in again?

This is all about appearances. Laying the groundwork for the media empire.

You couldn't void votes no matter what you do. You can enjoin them from doing it again in the future, at most.

I'm nervous beyond belief that MI or PA somehow give the election to Trump. MI more than PA.

Come on, Hispanics. Get Florida for Hillary!
Worrying about PA, lol. This state is not going Republican.

MI, I guess I can get your concern especially because of the campaign's last-minute obsession there and her unexpected primary wipeout. But all signs still point to a Hillary win in MI, even if it's not as big as usual. There's not a Senate race to worry about so a win is a win is a win

What's the whole "MAGA" and "centipede" stuff at /r/the_donald about?

MAGA's been explained.

Centipede is a reference to the Can't Stump the Trump series of videos, which featured this song as part of an intro. The centipede thing has since stuck with the alt-right folks as a sort of personal label.

Wait does PA actually have a chance of going red

Did something change in the past 6 hours that I'm not aware of????

It has a 23% chance of going for Trump per 538, so roughly the same likelihood as Georgia going to Clinton. PA doesn't have early voting so we don't have the same amount of data as FL, NV, etc.

It's a sort of close race, although the polling averages have never been in Trump's favor. I mean, that's true for the entire map - Trump's hopes of victory mostly revolve around depressed Democratic turnout or a systematic polling error. They always did.

How did Obama win IN in 08 anyway? Record margins in Indianapolis and the northwest?

Obama had a big ground game in Indiana and McCain had none (rightly figuring that Indiana only matters in scenarios where he's losing). His operation did a good job of turning out Indy, Northwest Indiana, and the college towns. He also had more appeal than average being a Midwesterner himself.

It's not easy at all at that age. There is a lot to learn and not a lot of life experience to understand it all. It's also a terrible election for kids to become politically aware and vote for the first time.

Qualified woman vs sociopatheic white supremacist fascist.

This is the easiest election ever for anyone who is not a raging moron.

No sympathy man. None.

Plus PA got one of the biggest injections of hopium ever with last night's rally in Philly. Would be astonished if PA went red.

Surprise 2008 Indiana incoming?

Definitely not for president.

I graduated from IU in 2012 and was there in 08 for Obama's first election. Like was said, Bloomington is super blue primarily because of IU being located there. It might help boost Bayh and Gregg, but Trump is a lock here. I think it'll be closer than anticipated, though.

So do people just throw a dart a map to pick a state to worry about?

The 2012 thread is still archived to re-live the diablosing about all of the exact same states people are diablosing about right now.

So do people just throw a dart a map to pick a state to worry about?

- Someone posts a shoddy tweet from some nobody about how some state might be moving to Trump based on nothing
- People see the tweet, assume it's something and start panicking
- It snowballs into people thinking Trump is going to win California

It's a cycle that this thread has about every hour or so.

Small data point, but my friend in the Monroe County, Indiana Democratic Party told me that turnout there is on pace to exceed 2012 levels. Monroe is the location of Bloomington and Indiana University and is one of the most strongly Democratic counties in the state. This would bode well for Gregg and may indicate that Bayh is not a lost cause. It's not enough to make any real predictions, but still a hopeful sign.

I hope you're right. There's a somewhat competitive House race in the 9th congressional district, which covers Monroe county, too.

Mind if I could get a link to the Discord when possible?

Also I'm glad all of this is almost over, kind of legitimately stressed out by all of this.

By my analysis we should really be worrying about MA. Bill and Brady demand it
I'm not sure Trump is even on the ballot here in MA. You've got Killary right on the top line, some Gary guy, a Jill something, and I forget what else.

Awesome!

Sidenote: I have been textbanking at one of the campaign offices here in LA and it's always packed. I tried to go back over the weekend and yesterday and there was a line out the door and a long wait list TO VOLUNTEER. People were sitting on the sidewalk phonebanking because the office was too full. Yes, this is in ultra-blue Los Angeles, but I've been consistently seeing posts from friends volunteering in Ohio, PA, NYC that their offices are packed and that there's a wait to volunteer.

I'm fired up!

Also, giant heart eyes to PoliGAF for helping me stay sane throughout the election.

I really want to buy one of those Hillary Clinton action figures so I can troll some of my family members. Might have to wait until tonight though when it's all over.
