Indeed. 1$ ~ 60 INR.

I dont know how this solves black money though?

Those notes are the main ones used for large under-the-table payments.

Exactly.

High dollar cash transactions happen in this large denominations.

E.g. if I want to buy land in India, most owners will ask for a mix of white and black money. So something costing 100,000 will have me give 60,000 in white and 40,000 in Black. That black money is all cash.

There is this whole black money economy, that is pegged at 20% of GDP.

It's two things:

Fakes. Lots of them, some sent via ISI-Nepal route.

Counter Black money. Remove the higher currency notes from circulation and black money is almost gone.

Someone I know has 150,000,000 INR in black money which will be in 500/1000 Rs. Notes. That is cash/black money they never paid tax on. And they are now fucked.
Isn't this government taking away people's money? What if someone withdrew 500 and 1000 INR from bank in cash and kept it in home?

I don't know if I'd go instantly assuming high turnout means an easy Clinton win.

Historically speaking, it kind of does; the GOP doesn't invest the amount of political capital it does in voter suppression for no reason.

That's exactly what it means. Theres more D's and Lean D's around then R's and Lean R's, the problem has been getting them to actually show up to the polls.

I equate it with low propensity voters showing up to the polls, Hispanics, African Americans, millennials, etc.

Old white people always vote, going to be an improvement for both campaigns but turnout always disproportionally tilts the results to Democrats.

No.

So, government earlier this year gave everybody the opportunity to declare black money, pay a 45% tax on it. A lot of people did, almost to tune of 65,000 crore INR. They paid tax and converted it all to white money.

Now, if you have cash in white, you can deposit these back into the bank and it will go to your account.

If your cash money is black...well you should have declared it in the no-penalty period.

E.g. we have around 5,00,000 INR cash at home right now. Most of it is wedding gifts from my marriage last year. It is all accounted for, so we will just deposit it in bank and no issues.

Even if someone just somehow deposits the black money into their bank, it will become taxable and be part of the actual economy now.

Early exit polling information that is given to the public is not top line. It's things like "What is your most important issue?" or "When did you decide to vote for your candidate."

It's also terrible and inaccurate.

I have to admit I'm laughing a little at the diablosing that "maybe all of the increased turnout is Trump voters!"

Even at the most basic level, its pretty simple: there are more democrats than republicans. Republicans just have a higher propensity to actually vote.
