trump's team have internalized the fact that they are losing, but Trump is probably sitting on a cognitive block that prevents him from reconciling the numbers with losing to someone he hates so much.

Trump wouldn't talk about the election being "rigged" if he was convinced he was going to win. At some level he must understand that he's on a losing trajectory.

IDK if he blew it. He had this stuff from 2010. Everybody knew it. The GOP just founded it well, I was always confused why people were so sold on bayh.

I'm still not 100% sold that's sinking him. The polling has been very random.

I can deal with SOME grease or residue on my fingers, but if my hands are going to be a god damn mess every time I pick up the food, I'll opt for knife and fork, hence why I eat Dominos pizza (garlic crust) and messy sandwiches with utensils.

He's not travelling and doing 5 rallies in one day if he thinks he's winning.

He knows he's losing, but keeping the troops motivated otherwise it's a bloodbath.

Trump so resolutely and pathologically refuses to self-examine that I would not be surprised if his subconscious just keeps firing off shit that he doesn't even understand.

I'm not tuned in to the IN Senate race at all, but has Bayh had any kind of meaningful response to the attacks ads the last couple weeks? All I ever hear is how effective Young/the GOP's ads hitting on Bayh's lobbying past, and highlighting how disconnected he is from the state, have been, but not what Bayh has actually said or done about them in response if anything.

There were reports a couple days ago that Trump wants to win, but also at least wants to beat Romney's EV total. Which makes me think, in the back of his mind, he does realize he's likely to lose.

Prior to the latest tightening, about 2/3 of "undecided voters" were Republicans who were pissed at their party. Most of them came home, resulting in the closing gap between Clinton and Trump. Using the Monmouth poll, it seems most of the undecideds have chosen, and Clinton still has a lead. If that trend shows up in a couple of more polls, you'll see the models all shoot up for Clinton, as it means you won't have 8-10% of the voters undecided in a 4-6 pt race.

I mean it's actually very easy to see how Trump's staff knows he is losing. He hasn't been up in the polls overall ever in this race and he's flailing around to every state he can.

I havent ever heard of FFs getting shot at while doing their job. If anything, fire fighters are one of the most loved people in the country.

It's so surreal to see Obama have to remind younger voters of his talking points from 8 years ago. Like, some of them don't know or remember. For me it was like yesterday.

Oh yea I forgot about him wanting to beat Romney's EV total. I'm more surprised they don't know how they are going to handle the concession speech. My guess is that Trump veers off and makes it combative.
