Obama doubling down on Trump and hanging the GOP is smart. They are riding Donald's inability to self control to set a positive feedback loop on his campaign-the more pressure on Trump , the worse he behaves, then even more pressure, etc..

The nonchalance with which Trump refers to obtaining a purple heart is indicative of his desire for the presidency. He wants one because he knows it has significance but doesn't understand that its significance is the culmination of experience that leads to obtaining it.

While I definitely disagree with the notion that the Democratic primary was "rigged", I think that's a bit more plausible than doing it on a national level.

So in the last 5-10 hours Trump and his son have expressed ugly views on sexual assault, and Trump has made light of the Purple Heart. A day after having to deal with the Khan thing.

The DNC putting their thumb on the scale for Hillary is something that can happen in the Primary but unless there is election fraud I don't see how it can be rigged in the general. Trying to conflate the primaries and general is misleading at best.
