It says that any fees to the FSB for the received permits and licenses should not exceed $5,000 per year. Further reading suggests that this was done because imports of devices with encryption (e.g. mobile phones) have to subject to mandatory approval with the FSB and may include a fee.

This assumes they care about the person rather than the promise. It's pretty clear they'll vote for anyone so long as they deliver anti abortion actions. Ends justify the means.

Again, this isn't true.

Here's the problem: they believe any republican and what they say, regardless of their past. Trump talked tough on abortion in the election? They don't care what he did in the past.

Willful ignorance is the key here.

There were tons of people who admitted that they voted for Trump and liked his policies but disliked him as a person last year.

White evangelicals are not one of those groups. White evangelicals straight up like Trump as a person... Because Trump hates Islam.

Excuse me but this a completely ridiculous attitude. Either you truly believe abortion is equivalent to murder and will not vote for Democrats (or any person who facilitates murder) or your abortion is murder belief is hyperbole. Would you vote for a politician with Democratic positions even if he went out on the street, shot multiple people and faced no legal consequences? If you still vote for that Democrat, you would be intellectually consistent, but a horrible person I am sorry to say.

Uh, no.

No candidate is perfect. As a Christian, I choose the candidate that I think best represents Christian beliefs. Far and away recently, that has been democrats. Taking care of the poor, working hard for lower- and middle-class, not letting rich take advantage of the lower classes, weloming refugees, helping those abroad, maintaining friendly relationships, etc., etc.

So a person who commited cold blooded calculated murder is simply not a perfect candidate? Interesting, I never heard murder being described as just a minor and inconvenient character flaw which can be overlooked with ease.

Between this and abolishing the filibuster, that's two ways in which the power of the Senate as an instution as well as the power of individual senators is being reduced. I am starting to wonder if McConnell is really going to go for all this.

I see what you're saying. In that case, it's pretty clear they were lying to themselves to justify the choice. We heard a litany of excuses during the election doing just that.

Right, it's extremely inconsistent to think abortion is murder and go along with people who believe in it. It's one thing to think it's immoral, but to specifically use the word murder is not compatible with someone going along with it.

There is an article on The Guardian about Bannon saying the US will go to war against China in the south China sea within 5 to 10 years, along with another big conflict in the middle east. Things he said before Trump was elected.

The US isn't going to be in a good position for that if their only ally is Russia, which would tell Trump they got his back and then not show up.

Sorry if this has been discussed as I've been popping in an out of the thread lately. But can you fathom the Republican response if this had the name Obama or Clinton in in instead of Trump? We'd have investigations and hearings for the next 20 years. I know the hypocrisy of the GOP should no longer be staggering to anyone at this point but dammit man THE HYPOCRISY IS STAGGERING.

US military officials told Reuters that Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support, or adequate backup preparations.

As a result, three officials said, the attacking SEAL team found itself dropping onto a reinforced Al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger-than-expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists.

A navy seal and a number of civilians were killed, including a little girl who was shot in the throat.

There's a NYT article about Frank Gaffney basically calling for a Holocaust of Muslims.

Gaffney is a Trump adviser.

In an interview, he explained his view of Islam, which focuses less on the violent jihad of Al Qaeda and the Islamic State than on the quieter one he sees everywhere. By his account, potential enemies are hidden in plain sight — praying in mosques, recruiting at Muslim student associations and organizing through mainstream Muslim rights groups — and are engaged in “this stealthy, subversive kind of jihad.”

“They essentially, like termites, hollow out the structure of the civil society and other institutions,” Mr. Gaffney said, “for the purpose of creating conditions under which the jihad will succeed.”
