I swear to god, if McCain's numbers go up as a result of this Communist-style campaign he is running, I will fucking lose it.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows Barack Obama attracting 49% of the vote while John McCain earns 46%. Other than the bounces related to his convention and speech in Berlin, this is the first time Obama has had 49% support on back-to-back days since early July. Its also McCains lowest level of support in nearly three weeks

But is he in the tank enough? Is the party truly unified?El_TigroX said:Please... that's a joke. Have you seen him over and over again talking about the campaign and praising Barack Obama as the next President of the United States?
In the tank for sure... for his party.

Couric: Would you support a moratorium on foreclosures to help average Americans keep their homes?
Palin: That's something that John McCain and I have both been discussing - whether that ... is part of the solution or not. You know, it's going to be a multi-faceted solution that has to be found here.
Couric: So you haven't decided whether you'll support it or not?
Palin: I have not.
Couric: What are the pros and cons of it do you think?
Palin: Oh, well, some decisions that have been made poorly should not be rewarded, of course.
Couric: By consumers, you're saying?
Palin: Consumers - and those who were predator lenders also. That's, you know, that has to be considered also. But again, it's got to be a comprehensive, long-term solution found ... for this problem that America is facing today. As I say, we are getting into crisis mode here.

She was mixing her talking points - literally answers to two different questions blended into one. The video made my head hurt; you could see her mind churning to recall the correct phrasing, desperately.ShOcKwAvE said:If I'm reading this right, she did not know what a moratorium is. She answered the question by talking about decisions by lenders. Preventing a foreclosure on consumers is not a "reward."
DenogginizerOS said:Clinton says he thinks Obama will win but says nothing about why he thinks this. This is the problem. He praises McCain. His saying he thinks Obama will win is a guaranteed battle cry to motivate people to vote for McCain if anything to prove Clinton wrong.

First, Clinton is against what most Americans think about delaying the debate so he is out of touch in that regard. Second, his saying he thinks Obama will win is very different than explaning why he thinks Obama will win. Just saying he will win sounds like a token response. Fleshing out the details as to why he thinks this would serve a greater purposes. And last, praising McCain and not criticizing him is more substantitive and thus is more valuable than saying "I think he will win".El_TigroX said:You're wrapping up a lot of things here.
So do you want Clinton to say something or not? You say, "He's not saying enough!" then you say "When he says stuff, people hate him, ergo won't vote for Obama!"
Should I go or should I stay?
