OT: I still want an Assassin's Creed game with those coats and hats. AC3 is great and SO close to what I wanted. Just needed the tricorn hat!Incidentally enough, Brotherhood of the Wolf was on TV yesterday night.
Made me think of this game a bit, especially when at the end he dual wields two short swords.

Every leak source has said it's PS4 exclusive due to Sony co-developing it, and yes it's as 100% confirmed as it can be before E3. This footage couldn't have been made in Dark Souls 2 since really nothing looks like assets from the game, it'd require major work for any troll to have been able to do this, and it even has GAF moles hinting at it for way too long for it to be some elaborate troll.
Also the only people still really saying "are we suuuuuuuuuuuuure this is PS4 exclusive" for the most part every couple of pages (seems to have stopped for a bit) are largely stealth port begging and it's getting really annoying. Not to say you are.

I have every original story already, as well as the Ominus collections of those same stories as well as every comic published to date. I just felt that posting those would not get people interested enough to see the comparison. They are far and away better than any movie but all the same I do not dislike the movie either. It is an origin story with a decent twist and does not take you as far as meeting N'longa or recieving the staff from him but it does give you a good taste of matters.

If people expect this to be a direct sequel to Demon's Souls or think it would share a lot of similarities to Demon's Souls like Dark Souls to Dark Souls 2, I think they will be disappointed. A new time period and the inclusion of guns makes this seem like a completely new thing.

There's a chance, but there's also a chance it's simply a spiritual successor or a similar game (apparently the developers had a previous game in PSX that also had demons and guns). It's definitely hinting at everything about being similar to every other souls game with the fog gates, boss battles, and over-all movement of the enemies on screen/the player.
Maybe it won't be Demon's Souls 2 because of the more modern weaponry such as what looks like a retractable scythe/axe and the shotgun and that isn't very medieval like. But it's not like it really matters since the game is being made by the team that made Dark Souls and the director.

It's weird because on my end still feel like I'm taking it partly on faith. I honestly can't really get irritated when people ask, because there's no big screenshot or anything with JAPAN STUDIO logo on it (as far as I know anyway), which would be the easiest way to be convinced.
For me to be a 100% sure, I'd have to see the words uttered by a known Sony rep or developer connected to the game saying it, or seeing it on video (like From Software's name showing up in the WebM clip). That said, insiders and mods seem to be 100% sure about it, so I'm under the impression that they've done their work, and I believe 'em.
Let's summarize for a moment:
First, screenshots of a trailer leak out on 4chan
Now someone uploaded short scenes of that same trailer
My guess is that this is a controlled leak.
Why?
1. Nobody who actually wants to leak something would make the effort to cut a video and cut out only a few selected scenes. I can see someone having limited access making just screenshots instead of getting the whole thing, but when you are able to see the whole trailer, why cut it to pieces? Makes no sense if you just want to leak it.
2. Both leaks happened on a Friday. It's no secret that it's always best to publish news on a Friday so news outlets can snag it up and publish stories that are then widespread available for reading/consumption during the weekend. Best way to reach the audience.
And now DemonNite is even teasing us with a Megaton video with pretty well done assets and completely redone audio, planting an easter egg within...

All I remain curious about is that sound that is played when Kaz's eyes are lighting up blue (in the Youtube video at 42 seconds). I know that sound. I heard it before. I think it was in a game. Could also have been in the PS2 user interface, but I am pretty sure it was in a game...

I still think the fact that the leaker does not reveal the final title of the game is kind of weird. I don't know if that means it is a controlled leak but it is weird. The first leak had the project beast logo, but the video leak did not.

It's irritating for most because people are port begging. Some others are writing stuff with shit solely to rattle fans with stuff like "wouldn't it be funny if this were the Xbone exclusive? Man I'd laugh so hard". If leak folk weren't so sure that it's a ps4 exclusive then asking would be accepted by the majority. But what somebody mentioned it's true as well though. Sony usually has that black screen with text to show when it's something they worked on/completely funded.

Its most likely because the leaker doesnt know what the final title is. If its someone within some lower tier of the development, they wouldnt know the actual title as they would not be part of all the meetings and such. If its a QA person even more so. So not really concerned about the lack of a title.
I mean shit Ive seen an occasion where the production / business side were not communicating so one side got what they thought was going to be the official title wrong during 2 separate interviews.
True, but the images are known, so it was not necessary to leak a video of the name additionally. Also, a video of text on a black screen isn't that exciting

I think the video leak and the first leak are from the same source (same video), we're just now getting video instead of the screenshots.
The game is probably still called Project Beast.

I totally agree. I said it a few pages before but this TOTALLY took the "heat" off of the Order gameplay footage / release date delay. Perfect timing.

According to Verendus the footage we've seen is from an internal trailer from a few months ago, what we'll see at E3 will most likely be a different trailer with the final title so the leaker might not know about it.

I disagree, here's why.
1. I think you're mistaken. The video is something people have complied, the leaker just posted webms of random clips, they didn't 'edit' the trailer to hide content, they just didn't post it all (yet?).
2. It's true the industry posts stuff on Fridays to stay near the top of news sites over weekends. Friday is also the end of the work week, so the leaker gets to enjoy the internet meltdown they caused during the weekend.
3. There's nothing linking DemonNite's video to this leak. He posted it in this thread because that's an obvious place to put it, but there's no reason to think that video wouldn't have been posted somewhere else this weekend had this leak not happened.
4. Leaking this does Sony no good, and hurts their E3 showing. They could have easily gained just as much attention for their conference by just releasing an actual tease, without the secrecy.
The only reason I could think it was a controlled leak is I don't understand the Beast teases if we were never going to know that was the working title.
I just checked and they're harder to get/more expensive than Homeward Bones. I don't think I had a problem with using them, but it's not quite as convenient as Dark Souls 2 if that's what you're arguing, unless you use the DeS dupe glitch.

Yeah that was messed up. However Yuria's story iirc is one of the only ones (out of the people you meet outside the nexus) that has ends on a positive note. Her lust for Demons Souls and there power is lost by the end.
They shouldn't be convenient. But that not really the point I was just correcting you. Maybe it wouldn't have seemed combative if I just used one sentence.
