2014 release for this would be a nice surprise though I won't get my hopes up. Right now 2015 sounds almost too stacked in terms of SCE published games that could be released. The Order, Uncharted, Project Beast, Rime, Shadow of the Beast, Guerilla Games new IP, Entwined?, Guns Up?, Kill Strain?. I suppose the more realistic outcome is Project Beast is 2015 and half of these games will end up in 2016.

U wot m8?
fixed that for ya

Holy crap. It would be amazing if you could tame certain enemies (beasts) by taking their souls. Beast Tamer, Beast Souls.

Could be interesting, but hard to balance. They have dipped their toes in the zoo-mancer waters with Undead Rapport in DS1. Could be fun to try if it was expanded to a full blown playstyle.

2015/early 2016 for PS4 could shape up to be like PS3's 2009/early 2010.

Yeah it's going to be barren this year, but at least we won't have to wait 3 years for it to hit its stride, like we did for the PS3.

The Order Q1
Project Beast Q2
The Last Guardian Q3
Uncharted Q4

+ some surprises

BELIEVE ! :p

Four first party GOTYs in one year? my god :P

honestly though, its hard to judge when project beast will release. On one hand sony have started a habit of showing trailers not much more than a year to release date, and its been hinted the game was to be revealed earlier. On the other hand, its one of those titles that clearly is so big to the hardcore, that sony just might want the word out earlier to generate interest and sales. Also we don't know quite how much development time went into this. I assume developers were shared between this and DS2, especially near launch time of DS2.

Now imagine if they got the chance to reveal it on stage. If this was the only intended megaton is the conference still disappointing?

It's nice to see what the Souls series has done to the core base of gamers and no wonder its the most anticipated game right now. I havent been that hyped for a game since MGS2.

I remember some people in this thread reassuring me that Demon's Souls has a nice stable framerate without horrendous drops.

I hit single-digits in the Valley of Defilement last night.

So I'm really hoping From fixes this trend with Project Beast.

I'd hate for it to be named Bloodborne,be it as core name or subtitle.

Firstly, the name itself sounds lame imo.

And as a core name, I'd like for Sony to maintain the Souls name as I feel that they've got a decent platform to build a dark fantasy ip from Demon's Souls and Soul Sacrifice.

I doubt it, but it would be absolutely amazing. Just imagine how the crowd would react if they dropped a 2014 date at the end of the trailer.

It would be the dream for me! I never owned a PS3 but I have a PS4 so I'm looking reaaaaally forward to TLOU remastered, if I had both TLOU and Beast Souls to play in the second half of the year that would be hype overload

So was this game was what Verendus was talking about last year, right?

- 'Unannounced JRPG 1' (one I've mentioned before) will end up appearing. And I'm sure this has a good chance to melt the hardcore. It should be successful, at least, on the level of Infamous or Killzone maybe.

- The Last Guardian will finally show up. So, people will finally get this title out of the way. I don't know what will happen with Team Ueda beyond this project, but they have talent, so I imagine they'll be integrated into SCEJ's other teams, or they might modify the team and give a new leader so they can continue with other projects. I really don't know though. It will be interesting.

- 'Unannounced JRPG 2' will be SCE's second attempt at a big game emulating FF. If this comes to fruition, and is successful, then there is a franchise opportunity which can be exploited. Probably the most experimental project as if it bombs, then they'll never touch anything like it again. I don't think it will though. With the advent of FF15, KH3, and the announcement of FF16 sometime between 2014-2015, Japan gamers will be ready for this. The big question mark is whether they can translate some of that success to the West which will obviously be an aim.

I think, right now, is the most exciting time at SCE WWS. Last generation, a lot of effort went into stabilising the developers, building IPs, re-structuring, and getting some real strength on the first party front. There were a lot of things happening. In a way, the effort was so Western focused, that SCEJ was slightly neglected. However, with the foundation there, all that is needed now is for SCE to fine tune things rather than re-vamp them. This means, the potential is there to expand tried and tested teams further, both in SCEA/SCEE and in SCEJ.

Basically, I'd expect even more content from SCE WWS with the PS4 than with the PS3. This will be a great time to be a Playstation owner, both for new IP, sequels to some existing IP, and maybe a few blasts from the past.

What do you guys say: Is the name of the title really "Bloodborne"?
Or "Demon Souls: Bloodborne"?

If they keep the Demon's Souls name like you I hope they change it around. Demon's Souls doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, and I end up saying Demon Souls anyway.

Although I don't think this will be a direct sequel, and I hope they move away from the Souls name in order to differentiate it from Dark a little (which I think has quite fairly staked a claim on the 'Souls' name).
