if you buy a Samsung set you can be sure that you'll need a couple of firmware updates before having almost all the issues sorted out :lol
damn you Samsung, damn you!
i'll have to upgrade the firmware on my set too. one issue is the lack of 24Hz in the EDID infos as Blim said. another problem is that a shitty function called "Movie Plus" keeps enabling itself when you switch the input source on the TV, even if that same feature is reported to be disabled in the settings! (but you can clearly see it's enabled)
basically every time i switch the input (from HDMI to TV or component for example) i have to enable and then disable again that "movie plus" thing in the menu to truly disable it... mhe...

My TV does accept 1080p24 and it works perfectly fine as it is. What does this feature bring to the table? Does it force content that is not 24 Hz to display as such (wouldn't make sense)?

it only sends 24fps content at 24fps if the source material is 24fpsdark10x said:Which is why I don't quite understand that addition.

Thanks, but I don't think that list will have any such update listed there. I think you have to bring the TV into the service for them to do an update, or to call a technician to do it at your home.nofilter said:http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/productsupport/download/index.aspx ?

It sucks that Europeans can play Japanese dvds, but Japanese can't play European dvds.
Dozens have people have tried, but Samsung France simply sucks with that whole firmware thing.Manp said:i have the 40" model. great set but Samsung is really bad when it comes to firmware. they're full of bugs! you'll probably have the same bug i was talking about in my last post.
here in Italy they seems to have no problem with firmware upgrades. and it's covered by warranty also.
once Samsung is done with a new release and the repair center near you gets it they'll do the upgrade. of course if it's reported to fix the problem you're complaining about.
have you tried calling Samsung directly?

Quick question for the PS3's owners with a JAP/HK/CHI account.
Do you still see the Minna no golf 5 Demo on the Store or it is confirmed they deleted it?
Thanks!!!
