This internet radio thing is quite awesome :0 Too bad anything streaming at 128kbps or more dies every 5 seconds though :/

Now I need to get Shoutcast on my computer.

what's a good tool for ripping umds to the memory stick that's 3.80 compatible?

Inside the folder "seplugins"

Create a txt file called "VSH" and one called "GAME" and put the line.

ms0:/seplugins/screenshot.prx

In both, then using the recovery console (holding R when booting the psp) click 'Plugins' and turn on both screenshots to enabled, then click exit and you'll boot to the psp main menu.

Then all you have to do is click Note (the musical note next to the select button) and a picture will be in your memory stick. :D

did this. it's taking screenshots fine in the XMB, but not doing anything in game.

edit: nevermind. used the updated version of the plugin and it works fine now.

Just set the USB mode to the UMD and drag it from within Windows Explorer... unless that's changed since the update?

Phew... finally upgraded all my homebrew to 3.xx. Quite an ordeal, but no more kernel patches for me.
Also, an unrelated bit of advice in case anyone here uses Linux... to sort your applications, create an script that executes "touch" on each folder in reverse of your desired order (put sleep 2s between lines too). I know it's so silly, but I had a hard time looking for it :lol

Upgraded from 3.72 HX-1 to 3.80 M33, worked like a charm!

Now the wait for 1.5 homebrew support, I want to play some genesis games :D

The 3.80 M33 1.5 add-on is already available on Dark Alex's site.

yeah. took me an age to find all the right files. i had a pandora and a 1.5 phat magic memory stick. didn't realise i needed a different magic memory stick for my new slim (traded in the phat and got the slim last week).

ended up with about a dozen zip files containing various files and tools, but got there in the end, and i have to say, this thing is great. was on 3.80 anyhoo.

Amazing. I never understood how to do the CFW thing or updates so I had a friend do it. This one actually made sense and I could update myself. I have no idea what benefits there are to updating though.

what does 3.80 add to 3.71?

Remote play with PS3 without messing with PSP flash, new visualizer, internet-shoutcast radio player and support for latest PSP games.

Ok, stupid question how to you install the 1.5 add-on?

More so where to put in on the memory stick, and do I need the official 1.5 fw as well?

Installation is the same as 3.71 M33 - 1.50FW addon.

Download the update and place in PSP/GAME380.
Download the Sony 1.50FW, rename 150.PBP and place in root of your Memory Stick.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
I don't have a GAME380 folder. I put it in GAME150 instead. Worked fine. I didn't pay attention to what kernel I had it set to though.

Put in GAME150 or GAME380, NOT GAME folder.

Brilliant, thanks for that. My 4GB memory stick arrived today, and I've managed to take my PSP Fat from 1.5 all the way to 3.80 M33-2, GAF really helped me all the way through.

It's the last one you'll need to install manually from D_A. From now on, the network update feature will work for that purpose, so you won't even need someone to tell you if there's an update, you can check with your PSP. That and 3.80 is the most current fw and has everything. The real question is, with the process of updating a custom PSP being so damn easy, why wouldn't you move to 3.80? ;) The only time I fell behind on my cfw was when I didn't have a computer for a month. PEACE.

It's not showing up in my plugins. I did this:

E:\seplugins\15357_ScreenShot2.prx
E:\seplugins\GAME.txt
E:\seplugins\VSH.txt

Each text file has only this in it
ms0:/seplugins/screenshot.prx

Am I doing this wrong?

So can I safely update to 3.80 if I messed with my flash0 files for remote play?

Yes, flash0 is wiped clean when installing a new iteration of firmware.

That 1.5 update is only for psp phats so, I guess I'll wait till they release it for slims.

Its NEVER coming for the Slim. Its just not physically possible on the Slim hardware. They can get the kernel running put the display driver isn't compatible with new Slim screen.

Eeeek, more like 3.80 system downgrade.
Official Sony NP9660 driver is jerky as fuck now, and the others are substantially slower.

From what I've read on MaxConsole, using M33 driver is recommended for the time being.

Yeah, M33 and Normal (UMD inserted mode) work alright... but the load times are worse that those of pre-3.80 NP9660.

Oh snap! Haven't tried any games yet. I can't believe the Sony loader could be broken by this upgrade. Hmm...am I gonna have to downgrade back to 3.71? Is the M33 loader any good? I've been using NP9660 since it's compatible with everything and really fast. Hope this gets ironed out soon. I wonder if this is something Sony did when they changed the firmware around. PEACE.
