Create a txt file called "VSH" and one called "GAME" and put the line.
ms0:/seplugins/screenshot.prx
In both, then using the recovery console (holding R when booting the psp) click 'Plugins' and turn on both screenshots to enabled, then click exit and you'll boot to the psp main menu.
Then all you have to do is click Note (the musical note next to the select button) and a picture will be in your memory stick.![]()
Just set the USB mode to the UMD and drag it from within Windows Explorer... unless that's changed since the update?plagiarize said:what's a good tool for ripping umds to the memory stick that's 3.80
haven't been on custom firmware for a while. that works a treat, thanks.No45 said:Just set the USB mode to the UMD and drag it from within Windows Explorer... unless that's changed since the update?

Now the wait for 1.5 homebrew support, I want to play some genesis games![]()
yeah. took me an age to find all the right files. i had a pandora and a 1.5 phat magic memory stick. didn't realise i needed a different magic memory stick for my new slim (traded in the phat and got the slim last week).DKnight said:Phew... finally upgraded all my homebrew to 3.xx. Quite an ordeal, but no more kernel patches for me.
Also, an unrelated bit of advice in case anyone here uses Linux... to sort your applications, create an script that executes "touch" on each folder in reverse of your desired order (put sleep 2s between lines too). I know it's so silly, but I had a hard time looking for it :lol
for me remote play. it's a big feature for me. i grabbed the slim so i could use the video out, and i have both sets of cables for it so where ever i go, my videos come with me.The_Joint said:Amazing. I never understood how to do the CFW thing or updates so I had a friend do it. This one actually made sense and I could update myself. I have no idea what benefits there are to updating though.

-xBerserker- said:Ok, stupid question how to you install the 1.5 add-on?
More so where to put in on the memory stick, and do I need the official 1.5 fw as well?
navanman said:Put in GAME150 or GAME380, NOT GAME folder.
It's the last one you'll need to install manually from D_A. From now on, the network update feature will work for that purpose, so you won't even need someone to tell you if there's an update, you can check with your PSP. That and 3.80 is the most current fw and has everything. The real question is, with the process of updating a custom PSP being so damn easy, why wouldn't you move to 3.80?Ken Masters said:what does 3.80 add to 3.71?

rename the .prx as so...-xBerserker- said:It's not showing up in my plugins. I did this:
E:\seplugins\15357_ScreenShot2.prx
E:\seplugins\GAME.txt
E:\seplugins\VSH.txt

ms0:/seplugins/screenshot.prx
Am I doing this wrong?
Got the 1.5 add on working, yay!![]()

Official Sony NP9660 driver is jerky as fuck now, and the others are substantially slower.

Yeah, M33 and Normal (UMD inserted mode) work alright... but the load times are worse that those of pre-3.80 NP9660.navanman said:From what I've read on MaxConsole, using M33 driver is recommended for the time being.
Oh snap! Haven't tried any games yet. I can't believe the Sony loader could be broken by this upgrade. Hmm...am I gonna have to downgrade back to 3.71? Is the M33 loader any good? I've been using NP9660 since it's compatible with everything and really fast. Hope this gets ironed out soon. I wonder if this is something Sony did when they changed the firmware around.
