They absolutely do. There's some stats floating around about pay style apps/f2p games/etc, but from what I remember a handful of diehards spend 29482934823% more than the rest of people, some of whom spend a little, many of whom spend a tiny amount, and a ton who pay nothing.
Crackhead collectible card game style pay games are even more crazy, because people are obsessive about them and get addicted to the gambling aspect (Magic the Gathering etc.)
I'd actually probably even be ok with the gambling aspect if it was something along the lines of 'choose a color, you will never receive a creature you already own'. Because there is no trading, you would a) still need a shitload of box space and b) the amount of cash you could make off completionists who would buy into that but not the gambling style would probably be pretty huge - but I'd be more ok with that than completely random gambling, as it is now.
I've never seen a game use that method though, and the companies know far better than we do what makes the most money sooooo.
This sort of gambling deal seems to be really common/popular in asian online games - I'm actually surprised it hasn't gotten some nasty media coverage here in the west. I suppose it's still too obscure.
Anyway, this is all really tangental. I think P&D is a fun game. Play it, it is fun
Well... you got more chances at 1.5x/2x xp, look at it that way :V
btw, for people leveling monsters, a creatures xp is basically its (level x base xp value), so combining monsters a bit before feeding them well net more xp at lower levels, at a slight gold premium
Also relevant for feeding Pengdras, who need I think... 2550 xp exactly to hit max level, you can hit that with some combos of two creatures fed to one another who wouldn't max it otherwise.

I think he meant just tapping all five things you want to feed at once instead of going to each empty slot and selecting what you want one by one. Took me a few days to learn that too.
I think the Chinese/Japanese have stuff on their wikis that tells you how to minmax feedings, but of course it's not in English. Man, do we ever need an English wiki for this game...

Feed it a creature with the exact same skill. Chance is very small. You can feed singles or multiples, makes no difference.

ugh Ruby Dragon is on now for 50 minutes (i end in 7).

means that if you feed it to another monster that (+1) and the stats will carry over.
so if its +1 w/ 5 to ATK, the monster you feed it to would get +5 to attack.
if that makes any sense...

5 ruby dragons. gained about 10 levels for my starter dragon. sounds like a good deal to me
hmm i can't find that page by browsing for it, clicking the link says you need a facebook account to view it. Their normal Puzzle and Dragons facebook page doesnt' seem to have any actual info on it and is just a picture dump.

If you fuse a wood with a fire, you might get 1000 exp. If you fuse a wood with a wood, you'd get something like 1500 (some multiplier, not sure what it is myself).

Yeah he showed up at encounter 6/10 or something. The dragon PLANTS can be found in Tower of Trials or Tower of Giants. Alternatively, Thursday dungeon.

Very, very, low. Same for Mermaids in Mermaid's Feast. I've tried both probably 15 times each and have nothing to show for it.
Increase your attack.
The damage calculations work like attack - defence = output.
So if you are getting 1's the defence is higher than your current attack, either this or use monster with guard break.
These technical dungeons are pretty cool and those chimera's are pretty sweet for high damage attackers.
To answer this you can get bonus stones for login in consecutively.
3 on day 10
5 on day 30
5 on day 60
10 on day 100

is that a one time gift? (say you log in for 10 days straight, skip a day and then another 10) would you have 3 stones after each 10 day period, or just for the first time?
I got destroyed my first time but I was totally unprepared and didn't know what it was. 2nd time it was pretty much a breeze. Used Alarune as friend healer and Loki as my leader. Nothing could 1 shot me and i could easily get all my health back every turn.
I defiantly did not have any healing except for the heart gems. I dont think I really have anyone to put on my team that would help that.
Not sure, I'd like to think it would start from scratch again, but wishful thinking I suspect.
Maybe someone who has experienced it can say.
Use my healer as a helper, and have a leader with a defensive boost, "Lessens damage by a bit" etc.
This. It almost seems like cheating though, if there is no monster to one-shot you with Alarune and you can at least do a few combos to get your HP back.
Evolving my monsters slowly but surely. Almost evolving both my Titan and Plesios. Lil' white dragon is already a white dragon (evo x2) since I wanted to see its form.
Working on Mermaid next since I don't want to be too dependent on Alarune friends/explorers
