Got my first 25K renown operator: Buck! I like his gun. Has a little more recoil than I'd like but it seems pretty powerful. His shotgun definitely seems suited for breaching rather than killing.
Also I finished my placement matches and I officially started ranked this weekend. Way better experience. I'm somewhere in the Bronze tier. Is that terrible?
I've been doing my best to keep my end of the bargain (positive K/D, following the objective) but I'm getting some bad teams. I play with my brother, but we had several matches last night where people leave after 1 or 2 rounds or all 3 others are roaming + getting themselves killed in 2 seconds. One of the games we won was literally 2 v 4. We lost 3 teammates and we still one. We should've got double rep for that!
Also, I had the blue screen glitch happen on a round in ranked. Of course...

I didn't realize that people were having so many glitches and bugs. It's been pretty solid for me.
My two gripes are that the servers go down kind of a lot, and that placing certain gadgets like the deployable shield, bear traps, or yaeger's grenade trap can be really finicky and annoying.

Played 5 games last night on the Xbox only to have every round start with me getting shot in the back and team killed. I couldn't even vote to kick these people only report them for suspicious behaviour. Sent 2 of the guys a message calling them something unsavoury. Now I'm banned until next Monday while these assholes are still probably playing.

Apparently so. I reported them for unsporting behaviour but all that probably did was lower their Xbox Live rep.
I've gotten into the habit of reporting people for unsporting behavior and messaging them a very innocent message informing them. When they inevitably message me 'fuck off you gay nerd' I then report that message as well, and those are typically enforced more harshly lol.
It goes Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Gotta start somewhere, man.

My 4 friends I play with are gold, platinum, silver and copper and I'm gold 2/3.
If he were to play against other copper players, he would tear them up though. We're all used to playing platinums, golds and the occasional diamond
A lot of people started as copper this season but I have seen less than 5 coppers my time playing over the past two weeks or so. It seems like everyone is platinum/gold right now that I have been seeing. I am gold 3 right now.
Oh you're right. Haven't seen those in ranked in a long time.
Kapkap is so fun to run against new players. People fall for that trap so easily.

Yeah, my friend and I have been having some issues with the game lately too. Last night I cooked a grenade briefly and noticed I couldn't lean, couldn't throw the grenade or switch from it and it exploded in my hand. This is the second time this glitch has happened to me, and it was during an intense ranked match. This latest update feels like it's broken a bunch of stuff honestly.

I had a weird glitch tonight. I was Thermite and was trying to get inside a room where the bomb was located (forget the name of the map), but couldn't get inside the door because it kept rubber banding me in and out like crazy. I thought it might have been my connection, so I got on mic and asked my team to do the same, and they all rubber banded as well. Nobody could go in.

Really not a fan of this Favela map (nor the previous Border map tbh). I really would love if the final map of the season was much bigger with less destructibility.

Sometimes you are just absolutely fucked as a defender on Favela. There are certain spots however where you can get an advantage if you look out a window or two to keep an eye on your reinforced walls. If you can somehow take out thermite early then the attackers are in some trouble.
I like Yacht but I'm a roamer when I defend and Yacht is the only map that doesn't really allow it. The only map I actively dislike is the Offices one, I can't remember what it's called. It has two distinctive sections. One is called the Lifeguard office and it sucks, it should just be the 4 level building on the other side of the map.
If we're bringing back Vegas maps then the only choice is Presidio.

the third floor defending position is nearly impossible to win as a defender since the attacking team gets to be on the other side building that faces the walls, as a defender yoy hav limited view form that side if attackers back down and pick shots from afar. i have won there but always when they decide to attack from the door, not through the walls.
Yep, all depends on your team sometimes. It can be pretty frustrating when you team tries to run into the building when it is not even necessary. You can just sit back, blow some holes in the objective room and force the defenders to make a mistake.

What? That's one of the best maps! It's the most fun map for Jaeger.

On offense I have just as much fun watching the skybridge with my drone, figuring out what the roamers are up to, and trying to kill them.

I went to take a headshot earlier and another player rushed me, causing me to get 2 headshots with one bullet. Even funnier because I was playing Blackbeard and I was standing behind one of their deployable shields.

Has anyone feeling like the game feels a little off since last update? I mean I'm not the best player but damn I know I'm not this bad. Feels like I'm unloading into people and they turn around to kill me. Feels like half my hits aren't even registering

I haven't played ranked since I got Platnium in Season One. I got my charm so now I can coast on that.
Siege really does control absolutely wonderfully. It's probably the best "realistic" shooter on the market in that regard.
