Anybody else feels this game doesn't look as hot as it should?
The art style is on point and the combat is good, and although the graphics are excellent they're not mind blowing like the OG was on the PS2. They're on par with 2 and 3 Remake and those are last gen games. I think Capcom aiming to port this everywhere (including last gen and mobile) really held the visuals back.
I'm currently playing on PS5 Pro with all the bells and whistles, Ray-tracing, HDR, resolution mode, VRR uncapped on a 65" inch OLED, even that phaggy "hair strand" setting turned on. Yet the game just doesn't pop to me. Even with the 4K resolution the image doesn't look crisp, everything's kinda blurry and inconsistent.
It's kind of a bummer because I don't think we're getting another shot at a remake of this game for the rest of our lifetime, and Capcom decided to cook this on a freaking PS4.
Still an excellent game and an instant classic, just as the original; but the graphics had a lot more potential.
