There's something about this UI that I absolutely love. Takes me back to like PS2 or 3 days. Not just big minimal boxes everywhere, but an actual damn classic looking UI. Fabulous.Holy shit, a modern game with a good, memorable unique UI? say it ain't so!
Where's SOCOM?
Syphon Filter?Socom?
Wait until it goes through their UX teamHoly shit, a modern game with a good, memorable unique UI? say it ain't so!
That would be pretty cool.Syphon Filter?
Oh yeah.Syphon Filter?
So it could be something.... or nothingvia M1PST
Recent discoveries from a UI designer's portfolio suggest the new project may involve a third-person shooter with military themes.
There are indications of game mechanics involving customization, ranking systems, and advanced weaponry, hinting at a modern military setting.

This is just mockup painted over Days Gone, so pretty sure it's from 2020 max, so you can't draw any possible conclusions here, really. This looks pretty old IMO but I'm down for either Syphon Filter or SOCOM but would prefer SOCOM. I just don't know if Bend is the right team for it.
The inclusion of that overrated pointless junk that is the Vector also points me to this being quite old as it's not really popular anymore. I always hated that thing. Overdesigned and overrated SMG that never got any actual widespread usage outside of some third world countries. SMGs are nearly useless in modern usage due to SBRs being superior in nearly every way outside of policework where over penetration could be an issue.
/rant I just hate that fucking thing.
I would sacrifice Days gone, Syphon Filter, new God of War, and TLOU ever coming back for a new SOCOM.Ugh, imagine going from already not original zombies to full military crap.
Days gone 2 died for this stuff??
I would sacrifice Days gone, Syphon Filter, new God of War, and TLOU ever coming back for a new SOCOM.
Wipeout and SOCOM are the two franchises I want back the most from Sony.
That must be Pro. I don't think the base PS5 can handle that level of detail.
Just thought I experienced one massive deja vu reading this.. but not the case.Oh look, another cinematic third person over-the-shoulder bloated open world game with ten minute forced walking sections incoming. Yawn.
Likely another Sony First Party over the shoulder third person "cinematic" game with 10 minute forced walking sections,
pretentious writing and a one legged, double-chinned, overweight lesbian as the protagonist.
Third person military shooter with Sony production values could be, especially if it goes for a realistic or immersive tones
“Oh boy! Crafting!” - No one ever
Those screenshots give me Syphon Filter vibes though. So why not just make a new SF.
This is an old AF prototype judging by the looks of it, but overall I won't mind The Division with Sony production values.
Some of us happen to like this sorta shit and Sony does cinematic third person over-the-shoulder bloated open world games with ten minute forced walking sections bestestOh look, another cinematic third person over-the-shoulder bloated open world game with ten minute forced walking sections incoming. Yawn.
I wish, they were bitching about not wanting to do any more Syphon Filter games, remember reading about that back when it was confirmed Days Gone happens in the same universe and it's tied to SFSyphon Filter?
I'd say it's a little early to assume it'll have a generic military setting (in the COD sense) going just by a couple of early screenshots featuring graybox levels and very preliminar UI concepts.Ugh, imagine going from already not original zombies to full military crap.
Days gone 2 died for this stuff??
Fuck Socom, I want Syphon Filter back with modern day Sony AAA production values.Syphon Filter?
Days Gone 2 never died because never existed and wasn't even pitched by Bend to PS Studios/Sony. In the same way that Bend decided to make a new IP after Days Gone, they may also decide to make Days Gone 2 after this new IP.Days gone 2 died for this stuff??
Most Sony studios who released a game under Hermen it became their best selling game ever. In 4 of his 5 years he released a game that broke Sony's game sales records. Their first party games combined also sell more games than ever and win more awards/get more nominations than ever, and almost every year they are the company with more nominations and games nominated.New Hermenslop just dropped
It isn't. Bend is working in a new IP instead.I hope its a new Socom
Sure, but i don't want something ala division from bend tbh.I'd say it's a little early to assume it'll have a generic military setting (in the COD sense) going just by a couple of early screenshots featuring graybox levels and very preliminar UI concepts.
For all we know, it could be post-apocalyptic, sci-fi or espionage-themed given how little meat there's in this bone. The only certainty is that it definitely has a The Division feel to it based on all the mechanics hinted at by the UI design.
