Definitely wanna watch this. For whatever reason anything Stallone does gives me a big sense of nostalgia. I watched a fuck ton of Rambo as a kid.

Oh fuck yes! Loving these reviews. So happy. Michael B. Jordan deserves this man. One of the best young actors around imo. I'm glad he can finally put that shitstain Fantastic Four behind him.

I was happy to see Rotten Tomatoes updated the running time to 2h12m. For weeks it said 1h37m and I was disappointed. I make very few exceptions to my "all movies should be 90 minutes" rule and Creed is one of them. It needs to breathe like the first Rocky.

Going tonight at 7.

You could buy a ticket for something playing at the same time then just go into the Creed theater. :p

(I think theaters sometimes don't sell out to full capacity and keep some seats open, for whatever reason.)

Nah. These theaters are starting to do the reserve seat options. They are on to us ragtag kids.

The renovated theater near me has no seats taken. However, the last films I've seen there are Phantom Menace and Crystal Skull.

On the plus side, I have a gift card for a restaurant in the mall and whiskey nips in my car. I could totally Paulie this film!

Man reading this thread got me watching Balboa again.

Such a great movie.

I need to watch Rocky 1 again too, that's a legitimate top-10 all time great film. Every scene works.

If I had the stones, I'd straight up make a thread saying Creed is better than Force Awakens

Rocky is definitely better than Star Wars in my book. It's weird though. The most noteworthy moments people remember actually happen in Rocky II

People always forget that Rocky LOSES at the end of 1. That's what makes it such a great movie.

Mad Max might still be the best film I've seen this year. But I haven't caught Sicario yet. We'll see what happens after 7pm tonight, though.

Been introducing my girlfriend to the series this month. Watched Rocky III two nights back. Going to try and fit in at least IV and Balboa before we see this, hopefully V too.

I hope this lives up to the hype.

It's such a goddamn good ending. You don't even know who won the fight unless you're listening real hard. It didn't matter.

I watched Rocky II again last night and oh my god Apollo is incredible in it. Bumrushing Rocky in a damn wheelchair. Pride totally damaged.

Oh man. Sicario is VILE. I've never felt such a sense of dread from a movie. Mad Max/Creed/Sicario is a fantastic top three round robin of the best.

I'm a total sucker for the end of III. "Ding ding" fucking love it. But yeah I and II are clearly the pinnacle. I is the redemption, II is the crowning moment of ultimate glory.

Fucking love Rocky. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Creed was better than Star Wars but that also has to do with Sly being Sly and the direction being VASTLY superior.

Rocky is definitely a more consistent franchise, that's for sure.
