I'm rooting for Argentina in this game, but I will be fine with Ireland going through and if they do I hope they reach the final.

Same here. Argentina are my second team and Ireland are my third, so I'll be cheering on whoever wins in the semi.

I missed the first try because I was getting some food but holy crap at that second try. Argentina have improved so much since they joined the Rugby Championship. They've had quality forwards for a while but man, their back play has improved enormously over the last 4 years.

I mean it tells you everything about Argentina's back development that in a couple of years Marcelo Bosch has gone from being one of their best players to not even starting.

Every area of the game is being won by Argentina. Incredible performance, but very very poor start from Ireland.

It seems to be the way of this world cup. When things start going wrong for a team, EVERYTHING starts going wrong. A long way to go though but it's looking really good for Argentina and they look like they deserve it.

It's a bit of a shame they'll be playing Australia next week, an Australia v Argentina final would have been amazing.

I wish I had that same hope, but I've already accepted our inevitable defeat at the hands of Australia.

We'll start badly, fight back bravely, take the lead early in the second half, and then they'll score a couple of tries in the last 15 and win by about 12 points.

That was rough.

Could have ended a lot worse for Ireland though.

Only hope I can see is that this is as good as Argentina play, and Ireland still have an upside.

First 20 minutes we were completely blitzed.Competing at the breakdown is one of our biggest strengths but we were destroyed in the opening 20. They were getting quick ball at will and killing us. Missing O'Mahony and O'Brien hugely. Also have very few carriers who can make it over the gainline with O'Brien suspended.

I think we were the better side for the final 20 of the half but only marginally so. We started competing better on the ground and denying them quick ball.We need to stop the drift defence and push up hard.Cant allow them to get over the gain line so easily. Problem with that is we then run the risk of leaving space out wide where the Argentinians are lethal. Don't think we'll win now, but we need to give ourselves a chance.

will gently cradle you as time slowly ticks away.
I still hope for a Scottish miracle.

The way the Australian media are talking about this match, Scotland are some sort of rugby powerhouse that will destroy Australia.

It's ridiculous really. I thought that the English media's treatment of their football team had immunised me against this sort of "we're shit unless we win the World Cup" mentality. But here I am listening to people talk about how Scotland are the greatest challenge to Australia.
