That's exactly why Marvel doesn't do X-Men/Fantastic Four. They sold the (movie) license to Fox, and there seems to have been a falling out between them, and Fox is going to keep holding the properties hostage and not give Marvel any sort of creative control over them, so Marvel in turn decided to shut down promoting the Fox-held properties by not having them in their non-movie media - such as games.

SFV's graphics wouldn't be suitable for MVC, and it would be the perfect opportunity to recycle SFV's assets. Capcom and SNK have also been leveraging their characters in other ip recently.

There is no market to sell that game to. SNK is now a hardcore only brand in the West.

I mean, there's no market for Darkstalkers but Ono obviously wanted/wants it to happen. Whatever this ends up being, it won't be CvS but not because of marketability. Capcom has an uphill climb as far as trust regardless of what brand they collaborate with next, but I just don't see SNK showing the KoF graphics patch at the same event Capcom shows what would undoubtedly be better looking versions of KoF characters in a crossover.

Personally I'd love a CvS3, not because I liked CvS2 but because in my mind SNK would handle the presentation, art, character design, etc and leave Capcom to what they're good at.

And this is something I will never understand, how did SNK manage to have a big impact in LA?

Amazing character designs that didn't always default to egregious stereotypes. Usually cheaper to play because the hardware was old.

One very underrated aspect of SF5 are the animations. Try going into training mode and watch the full animations for characters like Ken, Vega, Cammy etc. Ken in particular is just beautifully animated.

The quality can be a bit inconsistent particularly with the original characters.

You have Ken who's face really looks derpy when you zoom in, then you have Chun-Li who looks heavenly.

You have Zangief who's face just looks a bit ... off for me then you have Birdie who again looks great.

Me too, in fact if no X-Men and 2v2 is true, I'd much rather have UMvC3 remaster over monkey's-paw-MvC4.

Namor is another special case, and for this one we actually have a statement from Marvel about his game rights not being with Marvel, and several developers coming out saying that they can't use him.
It seems like it only encompasses Namor himself (and possibly Namora and Namorita since they also have his name in theirs, but they're also obscure so who the fuck knows), since Attuma and Tigershark who are his classic villains have appeared in games more recently.

I understand being a bit skeptical of him right now (I am too) but to completely write him off as "riding coattails"? I don't agree given the current information. Did he ever do this with info that turned out to be false? And yeah, Max as a potential supporting point towards this whole thing being true is dumb. Its pretty obvious he doesn't know much more than anyone else in this thread going off his posts and his video.

Also, I recall that OsirisBlack straight-up said that he heard that this game was coming, but wasn't sure if it'd be revealed this weekend.

Obviously nothing is certain right now, but there's enough smoke to at least consider the possibility.
