My biggest hope is that it's a full game at launch and not a F2P platform.
With a full set of characters.

I do think a F2P fighting game could work really well and sorta has with KI.

I just don't trust Disney to stick with console gaming, they are kinda bipolar with that shit.

Oh yes. Retail release is a must so we can preserve the game.
 
With SFV's recent announcement of being in the arcades, maybe Capcom will put this in arcades (if it's real)? That was one of the things holding Japanese MvC3 players back.

You act like this is a bad thing.

MvC3 but with major balance reworking and a few extra characters would be great. I'd still prefer MvC4 though just because you can only fix the game so much without rebuilding it entirely. REALLY doubt a hyper MvC3 would get rid of X-Factor, for example.

Pretty much. UMvC3 is begging for a revival in the form of a hyped up re-release. I simply don't see Capcom going ahead to try make an entirely new entry in the MvC series. But I guess we'll see...

Special intros I'm down with. But I wish they would get rid of the overly cinematic outro shit and just go back to the simple styles in previous games.

Give me stuff like Doom and his Doombots laughing at you on the ground, or being served wine

Actually, depending on how Marvel approaches certain characters, Capcom may have to start from scratch. With other re-releases like Deadpool or the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, none of them received any additional content beyond the latter's DLC being included from the start.

I don't know. MVC3 is old news at this point. I just don't see them suddenly updating a game that's like six years old.

If Capcom's getting the Marvel licence back, I could see UMVC3 as it is getting a re-release on PS4/Xbone along with MVC Origins and MVC2, but I'm pretty sure they'd prioritize making an all new game altogether over another update to MVC3.

The only thing I can think of that would preclude an MvC3 re-release/update is the ongoing X-Men licensing beef. I'd be down for Hyper MvC3 though. Finish up whatever characters they had to scrap for UMvC3 and maybe throw in some model swaps like Strider Hien and Warmachine to pad out the roster.

I fully believe that whatever Ono has going on with Akuma, it isn't related to this Marvel stuff.

Whatever that is, its going to be playable at PSX on Saturday. This Marvel reveal is supposed to happen Sunday night after the finals.

Why would they make a big reveal Sunday night for something thats playable the day before?

I like it. I really hope whatever they go with, they find a way to outdo the hype in reveals for MvC3 and Smash.
