That is exactly what everyone is trying to say though. They are trying to say that Nintendo games (like Pixar and Disney classics) have something in them that others just lack, something intangible, and indescribable. What is the word for that again?

The man himself is a legend. Without him, where would games be?

But it's unfair to say he's solely responsible for the quality of Nintendo's titles. They are simply an entire group of people who get it.

Even if you disagree with some of their past decisions, there are so few relative failures in a history of soaring success.

But again, its just using a word to cover up our inefficient vocabulary in describing our likes and dislikes of video games. "The game is just so delierously charming!" doesn't really tell me a whole lot, since its such an intangiable quantity.

Ok ok. Hiroshi Yamauchi is the man behind Nintendo magick.

Those arrangements are utterly fantastic. This is Zelda's definitive CD and one of the best sounding game music collections there is. I wish I knew we were getting something of this caliber (and as a freebie!) before initiating my hunt for imports this summer.

I believe the only descriptor that would do their games justice would be "fun".
Nintendo's games are pure, unadulterated, fun.

The epitome of gaming enjoyment.

Not that other games aren't fun or enjoyable. Rather, Nintendo's games are straight to it (particularly Mario games).

Looks like my Skyward Sword review should be up at midnight. Nintendo moved up the embargo time.

So does this mean 12 eastern??

Since he is in California, and Giant Bomb almost always lists the time for things in Pacific time, I would say no.

THIS CD
HOLY F

There are no words.....................this is the greatest orchestral arrangement of video game music ever made ;o;

poor Metroid will never get this love lol

Patrick's not doing their Quick Look or video review until next week because he wants to be careful to show off what's really going on in the game once all the embargoes are up, apparently.

So I guess we won't get a video of 45 minutes of wandering around Skyloft before the first dungeon.

Sounds a lot like something that doesn't exist.

Lol. If something is really good, you should be able to pinpoint why. If it is a general feeling, you can still say something like "everything fits: the music, the art style, the gameplay, the story".

I agree that the "charm" argument isn't one at all. Especially if you get to write a few page review to elaborate your opinion, you should be more specific.

Of course it exists.

See Ocarina of Time and it's non-technically advanced characters.

Why are they more memorable than most characters in other games???

Let me guess: "charm", right?

Whatever that means

Better than not getting a QL done by Brad, dying twice to random enemies in the first five minutes without figuring out how to solve a puzzle or beat the boss.

Charm and magic are the culmination of getting everything else right. Of course it's more than some inexplicable whatzit. It's how everything adds up into an excellent, cohesive whole.

WOAH, what's up with all that jaggies? I hope it's the setup...
That's how it's looked in all Wii media.

One of the reviews so far even explicitly lists aliasing as a complaint.
