Filthy Phil looks so out of place. More Chess club than Motorcycle club. S4 was missing on Netflix so I only saw him briefly at the end of S3. Was he a main character in S4?

I know who can play Opies brother when the time comes. ;P

Zakk Wylde man.

Watched the season 3 finale to hype myself up.

This is what she felt...*ratatatata*

Brilliance.
Plus the Jameson juice box! Great episode.

They're re-airing the tail end of S4 the next couple weeks, so I'll watch a couple of those to remember where things stand.

Official name and description of 501:

Episode 1 - "Sovereign" (Airs September 11, 10:00 pm e/p) - Jax presides over SAMCRO as a series of events begin to unravel Charming. Written by Kurt Sutter; directed by Paris Barclay.

Also, the episode list on imdb, so far:

Sovereign
Authority Vested
Laying Pipe
Stolen Huffy
Orca Shrugged

Good stuff. Cracked up at the 2:30 mark when they make fun of Charlie Hunnam doing pushups: "usually there's a man under him"
Yeah, that was the best bit.
Why spoiler tag that? It's the most generic and obvious episode description ever.
A lot of them give a fair bit away, and it's better to have a consistent policy of always spoiler tagging them regardless of content. That way everyone knows what to expect and can decide if they want to read the loglines.

I'm rewatching a few episodes before the premiere next week. Figure I'll burn through the last four of S4 as a refresher.

Does Tara know that Gemma was also responsible for John Teller's death?
I honestly can't remember how much she knows. Needless to say there will be a 4-5 minute "previously on SoA" segment before the premiere that lays it all out. ;)

The only characters in Breaking bad that really stand out are Walt, Jesse, Hank, Gus and Mike.

Exactly (plus Saul). SoA at one point had:

Jax
Tara
Clay
Gemma
Tig
Opie
Piney
Bobby
Juice
Chibs
Happy
Chucky
Unser
Potter
Kozik
etc.

and that list is still incomplete. SoA easily has the best ensemble, and it balances screentime and character development pretty well among the majors.

GoT is another great ensemble, but to be honest I can't help but feel that much of the character development is rushed due to the necessity of covering so much information from the books.

SoA, while not perfect, feels more natural and moderately paced in its character development.

I love all these shows - BB, SoA, GoT, etc. SoA may not be the best but for me its the most entertaining.

Awesome CB - reading your TV OTs helps me out during real boring days at work, lol. Still have to re-watch Seasons 3 and 4 that I bought on Blu, though.
*high five* Good to see you, man. :)

58 min of show, 32 min of commercials.
Good point - they've pulled that one in the past. I watched a rerun of "Call of Duty" from S4 last night (90 min episode) and there were a ton of commercials. It doesn't bother me too much when watching off of the DVR, but it gets a little silly when viewing it live.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
Been meaning to get into this show and finally started the first season via Netflix yesterday. Kicked back on the couch and before I knew it, was five episodes in. Seems like it will work well to pass the time until Boardwalk Empire is back on.
