Loving this game so much! The single player is a blast and the online has been fairly smooth so far! I like playing without motion controls.
It's ok.
As Destructoïd said, the foundation is fantastic. Splatoon will keep on improving over the next weeks. I'd say it's a classic in the making.
I downloaded it last night around 10:30pm (eshop West Coast FTW) and said, "OK, lemme try a couple of maps for a half hour and play it more tomorrow after work". Lost track of time and didn't realize it was already 1am.
I get the limited maps complaint as I kinda exhausted myself from playing the multiplayer arenas toward the end of my playtime and then found the single player mode which was entertaining.
I am not disappointed and would recommend it. Its fun and not insanely complex, I'm usually awful at shooters and felt the game is pretty balanced.
Hmm... gonna keep thinking about it lolYou will lose hours and hours worth of sleep playing this game.
.
Ah, okay. I thought it was exclusive levels or something similar to Toad.
You can't accurately aim with the pointer in 3rd person, because the game can't have any clue where you're actually aiming in 3D. It just doesn't work properly, see Epic Mickey or Yoshi in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
That's also how they are displayed on the back of the cases:
When do the stores refresh?![]()

You got to be squidding me, that's inkonceivable! But in the case that does happen, it paints me in a negative light. I better roller with it and tackle that at once then. And if it doesn't work the first time, I have another ten tackles coming.

You haven't played RE4 on Wii have you? That worked beautifully.
So I wasn't a fan of what I played during the little weekend tests they did at all, is it safe to assume I shouldn't bother with the game? It really doesn't seem like my type of shooter, but I'm seeing a lot of positive impressions. Granted I tend to take those with a grain of salt due to the honeymoon period most people suffer from.
They're pretty much achievements, having you go through the same thing in a certain way and the gear is just reskinned stuff, so you're not missing much of anything. The figures are worth it by themselves, but taking an added incentive away would probably hurt their allure.

Everybody's buying it.

The word of mouth is spreading.

Splatoon twitch streams out the inkzooka.
Crazy how many of them are live already.
Loving the game. Everything about it. Style, visual, music, the little details, Miiverse integration, fun shooting, fun gameplay...
..yet, like Smash and Mario Kart: I can't get online! Static IP, forwarded ports, disabled firewall, etc...and nothing. Heck, last week the speed was updated from 5MB to 10MB, which of course allows for faster browsing and downloads (and uploads too -ping is better too-), yet no luck when it comes to online multi on this games.
It seems is a problem exclusive to my Wii U and 3DS, as every other system I had never had similar problems.
Oh well. Still, love everything about it.

Alright, thanks guys. Guess I'll skip this one.
Wondering this too!So do we know what time the clothing stores change their inventory?
My main problem with weapons being added after release, is that after the weapons come out, EVERYONE will be using them online. We'll probably have like 6 painbrushes in one match, it will be silly.
What didn't you like about it?Alright, thanks guys. Guess I'll skip this one.
Well that was a pretty fun and well designed final boss.
Edit: holy shit these credits. Kudos Nintendo
Yea same and also does every player get there own set of clothes on sale at the stores? So do we know what time the clothing stores change their inventory?
