Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

The game just docked me 38 points in Ranked mode for a connection error. Nice, Nintendo.

Anyone got any semi-dependable strategies for Splat Zones? I can't find one which works for me. The best is just sneaking around killing people and hoping my teammates claim the zone in the meantime, but my aim isn't really consistent enough for it to be a serious viable strategy.

Well, YMMV, but for WallEye Warehouse, I set it up so that I can do a quick hit and run to the front of their base whenever we are in control of the 'zones. This delays other team as they have to re-ink to get out.

and that, as much as anything else, led to my inking problem

Am I the only one that likes Splattetshot Pro? I haven't reached the Gold Gun yet but still this works really good. The only problem I see is the low tank, as it empties after a few hits but other than that it's cool. Great range, does nice damage and the Inkstrike+bomb are great special weapons.
I really liked my time with it. Then again I have a tendency to use ink-inefficient weapons.

Now todays splatoon twitter updates

Finally today it's the start of the morning from 11 o'clock "Gachimatchi"! Rank more than 10 in the arms boast players certainly want to challenge! But, it is not necessarily the-class in "Nawabaribatoru" weapons and tactics that were-class in the "Gachieria"! Kokoroshite and Kakare! Iyahhou!

The rules of "Gachimatchi" Let me explain a little more detail. · Gachimatchi point enters in the outcome of the team. The amount that is painted is no relationship. • The knockout win if further victory bonus increases. Knockout defeat earn points becomes 0.

Then it leaves also describes "skill".
· Prowess varies in victory or defeat of the team.
• What members have led to many victories the team than even the people = skill is high people.
- Your skill the higher the point of victory bonus increases.

And it's described in the "Gachieria". · 1-2 is winning team is defended until the count 0 by securing the area. Securing and the area within the paint a certain percentage. Countdown starts in all areas ensure. • The reserved area in the neutral state return a certain percentage painted the opponent. - Further coated returned and can be secured by repossession.

https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/605677277653823488

It's a little complicated rule from here. · When Torikaesa the area to the other penalty points stick. - A normal count is not reduced until the penalty point to 0. Penalty points which time it had been secured receives longer increases. • Once the reserved area is shalt protect at best to not deprived!

https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/605677430972387328

- Time limit is 5 minutes. · Conclusion is winning a decision of the team that reduced many to count unless stick. Penalty points are not included in the determination. · Overtime while losing to teams has secured the area. · You can reverse, or is deprived of the area, completed in 10 seconds count stop. - Until the end shalt fight without giving up!

Has anyone put together a resource of what abilities can roll on what?

Like I'm pretty sure Ink Resistance Up is unique to shoes and has to be the main slot correct?

As I start to realize how good these unique abilities can be I'd like to figure out the configuration I want to shoot for. Like if Stealth Jump and Ink Resistance Up are both main shoe slot exclusive or something.

Shame on me. Just did a rage quit, the first since I was a kid... I'm sorry but I can't stand splat zones when the team think it's turf war. KILL THE ENEMIES.

I like it but I don't use it because I can't stand the small tank. It ruins the gun for me.

I had that problem too at first but I realized it didn't really matter. When you ink, if you shoot at a distance you can easily replenish the tank fast so it doesn't really make a difference if you're careful. When you attack an opponent, unless it's a charger you should take them down from a distance. You should have enough space to retreat and replenish the ink. It's quite a different philosophy of many other weapons, but from my experience it works good. Especially the fact that people don't really expect you to reach them and you manage to defeat them, at their surprise.

Thinking of trading in Witcher for this. Getting tired of waiting for that game to be patched and should have bought this first instead.

What say u GAF?

Just keep both. I bought The Witcher on launch and dipped in a couple of hours. Only to realize that it's not so smart to invest too much time in a game like that with my exams coming up. So now I just switch between Splatoon and project Cars if I want some distraction from studying.

Splatoon is pretty cheap anyways.

Are you sure they are not just building up their special? I try to build up my airstrike in splatzones.

Its a good strategy but would be better with voice chat, so some teammates go forward and others build up to clear the zone

In the past 3 hours I did about 15 matches, and I'm not really having a good time.

I either wind up in a match with an entire team of rollers on my side or the enemy's, or I wind up in a match where my team is short 2 people, so it winds up being 2v4, which is next to impossible to win.

I also find myself dying to stupid stuff, like putting down an ink wall, only for a roller to squash me through it, and the roller coming out unscathed, or me jumping over an ink roller successfully, only to somehow still get squashed.

I did that too, in fact I deserve only shame lol. But the truth is that today I played an entire match thinking that the Tornado didn't work on the touch screen, while instead I had switched weapon and powerup... that moment I should have realized that I'm too tired to play.

I'm holding the enemy Mall corridor like a boss in ranked every game

that's it, against randoms. Gaf would probably destroy me. Still, the map is much better with the additional platforms

I played a ranked match in the mall and the stage had some extra platforms. Are all stages slightly revised for ranked?

Can you also for example buy 3 upgrades from spyke and the reset with judd?
You can buy as many as you can afford going by this post:
The Judd glitch is awesome. He just gave me 151400 coins, after I upgraded slots to my Amiibo gear. Going to add slots to some cool looking one star items to have 'em available later.
Of course, the more you spend the bigger the loss if you mess up (like forget to get the vibe up or have already claimed that vibe tier for that map rotation or worst still leave it too late and the stages re-rotate before you can reach Judd).

Edit: You don't have to wait until level 20 to take advantage of the glitch:

This also works for buying something from Spyke, not just slots!

Be patient and dont be too eager to get into firefights. I've considerably gotten better and started winning more as I started to play cautiously. I have no problems squidding away from trouble and then come back later to ink more turf.

Also be aware of your surroundings. If you're putting down ink walls, scan our immediate area and then put it down after you know you're safe. Otherwise just squid away to someplace safe and come back later.

If its a 2v4, just keep running away and ink. Dont even bother to get into fights unless you have the upper hand.

I switch between this and the .59 custom (or whatever it's called... It's the custom with jewels all around it). The range is hilariously long. It's fun to watch splattershot jr and aerospray users try to outreach reach me.

+2600 pts? Wow.
I'm rank B- and this is what I get every time.

How are some of you getting Snails? I thought you could only obtain them through the Splatfest events? I'd like to add extra slots and re-roll my ability on some of my gear.

Yeah, I think Ranked mode is bullshit. Just not fun and too reliant on your team actually knowing the difference between the unranked and ranked modes.
I find it much more fun than Turf Wars. Everyone plays in the same area, there are more encounters and more strategy.

It's definitely less suitable for casual matches, but I can see a big competitive potential.
