As far as media players go, I've been using PotPlayer. Someone recommended it in the VLC 2 thread and I've had literally no problems with it.

Looks really nice with this particular skin.

This season is just delving into all sorts of weird girl concepts isn't it?

Ghost girls.
Drool girls.
Zombie girls.
Gun girls.
Bread girls. (lol)
Shiba Inu girls.
Shogunate Warlord girls.
Eldritch Abomination girls.
Vampire girls... conspicuously missing this season (i might be wrong on that).

Anyhow this show's been pretty enjoyable but my lord that ED. Just... man. Fuckin' beautiful.[/QUOTE]

We need still animes with girls as battleships, satelites, modern philosophers, cockroaches. there are still enough things. And I love it!

But I don't believe ghost girls are that crazy.

What's the deal with the Miku image? Is it just a fanart with a caption on it or are anti-VLC messages still being embedded in media?

I had another look over the shows and determined you can probably add alien girls (or something) to this list via Tsuritama.

And yeah, Above Your Hand is definitely something special.

Well I first saw it on /a/ who will basically kick you in the balls who contemplating using VLC. As far as I'm aware it is just a bit of Miku fanart with an anti VLC message added to it.

Yeah, I switched to MPC from VLC years ago after a lot of my media started having a bunch of offensive 4chan shit in it that was apparently designed only to appear when VLC was used. Apparently they still hate it.

Got it.

So for animation gifs in particular I should cull half the frames and just time it to 8/100ths? Is the only purpose of that to make the filesize smaller? Also how do I know if the animation is on twos?

Yes, it's to make it smaller. Just look at the raw frames, you'll be able to tell pretty easily how many frames are repeated. On twos will have the same cel twice in a row.

Season 2 ended perfectly fine. I can see frustration at the back half of it, but it capped perfectly in the final few episodes.

I agree. It's up for debate as to whether it was good, but the last few episodes were certainly conclusive. (i liked them)

Interesting. So could this be a way of distinguishing production values? If a show has a ton of repeating frames then couldn't that mean that they're doing half the work (obviously not an exact scale) compared to a studio that has each frame being unique.
NO

...NO

That's...disappointing. I am reading similar responses from a number of other people, which makes me think I should drop the show right now and not even bother watching the second episode.

Perhaps, but you should trust those other people and not the person who brought us "Bebop the Cowboy."

I'd make this face too if
I was just brainwashed into believing that I was being NTRed by my own future daughter

Wow, when Usagi actually makes an effort to be intelligent and mature, things go better than expected.
I still can't believe that she actually out-reasoned Demando and got him to renounce his ways, but it wasn't totally unbelievable. Dat "Saphir was going to tell you the same thing!" emotional manipulation though, heheheh.

Also,
fuck Wiseman. What an asshole. RIP Demando, go kick his skeletal ass, Usagi.

What was Rei thinking with that pose?

Anything else that I could cap from the episode would be a spoiler, so here's a random white flash.

Well that certainly went more smoothly than S1's finale. None of the Senshi die, and all Usagi really had to do was have the usual exchange of philosophy with the Big Bad followed by dueling crystal kamehamehas! No muss, no fuss, let's go eat cake.

I'd say something about "FINALLY, CHIBIUSA GTFO" but unfortunately I know that we're stuck with her.

Sailor Moon R 89:

This is billed as a clip episode featuring scenes from S, so I'm bailing out unless Hito tells me that it's safe to watch.

The os-tan imageboard suggests that we have barely scratched the surface of possibilities!

It's awesome, and unlike School Days doesn't end with a lot of cursing.

Actually I think the cursing with Geass starts far earlier :)

Yeah, that oughta teach those lazy entitled socialists to pull themselves up by their breadsticks instead of relying on universal breadcare. WINDARIA ISLAND, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT

Don't you just hate those loafers who want all of our hard-earned dough? Let them eat cake, I say.

More tasty keikaku and TABLE-KUN!

As Ledouche works out ways to gain a militant advantage over their opponents, love blooms elsewhere.

Shirley is
still head-over-heels for a Ledouche that doesn't seem to care much for her romantically.
(I don't care for her either) However, things change when his alter ego/identity
is villainized in her eyes for being behind her father's death.

What should he do?!

Eh, shrug it off, eat Pizza Hut.

No anime will ever be animated on ones. The only exception I know of is Akira.

Cool new OP and ED.

Damn you to hell, Shirley. Stop trying to drag everyone down with you.

And we're already back to the action.
Cornelia won't stop escaping death, and Zero's mech was totally made out of cheap plastic. Damn.

New OP song is kinda a hip cat, unfortunately not much in the way of new visuals.

So this episode takes a peek into Ledouche's extremes when coming to the safety of others in order to reach his ultimate goal. Again, not new grounds in the way of resistance groups, but this guy has the power of clawed mechs and C.C. That has to mean something!

Also we got some more action, and a
very strange display of destruction/wreck shopped with Ledouche's mech.

More Pizza Hut showed up, which made me glad, this time as a large cardboard box.

Next, I request Table-kun with a Pizza Hut box on him...and some extra pizza inside for an afterwards snack (lol)!

What I didn't like about Code Geass was that it was such a blatant copy of Guilty Crown, it even patterned Shirley after Hare.

Damn. All this Code Geass talk makes me want to rewatch it for a third time...Maybe I will when my summer holiday starts next week! It has been several years since I watched it last time.
