Man Jin got two chicks on deck, man is a hobbo with a heart of gold. Seriously though is going red always going to bring that kind of collateral damage? I'm really not seeing EVOL's angle in playing both Jin & Kouga to be honest. My guess is to play them to get close to the powers that be in a case of control. I'm sure they'll be inching closer to maybe if possible control ZET? This doesn't seem plausible but who knows. Also Kouga is a weak sauce Batman right now, real talk.
no, believe me I';m the last person to ask to judge the quality of a series. Its just that AKB0048 is so obviously on a cheap budget with the awful rushed CG, the mishmashed story, the awful artwork, and the sloppy editing thats its just really really obvious even to me. Normally I cant really tell the difference, but this show might have awakened my ability to tell.
Golden Boy and Otaku no Video, though neither is entirely dedicated to that subject.
Fate Zero 14: I hated how this started, all colorful and stuff. I seriously thought this was the wrong show. But by the end it was one of my favorite episodes thus far. Can't wait for more flashback next episode (how often can you say that?). Beautifully animated, and the score, so good.
Perhaps most importantly it shows that there's more than enough material to do more/spinoffs with the franchise. It can't end after this season
Lupin/Fujiko 1: I have no experience w/ Lupin, so, uhh, ...what? This was like James Bond.

Revisiting old material? Why, Nasu would never do such a thing. We definitely don't have a billion different spinoffs of the Fate franchise, nope.
Although that now we're in this topic, I would really like Archer (from FSN)'s backstory written by Gen Urobuchi. His life would be perfect fodder material for Urobuchi's brand of misery. I don't actually see it happening, but it would be nice to imagine.
I think there's a correlation with Oreki being less of a whiny bitch and me liking this show. He's less of an anti-social jerk now and more of a tsundere who's slightly more tsun tsun than before.
The cartoon is still very forgettable, but I think there's enough animation porn in here for me to keep watching it.
Do these script writers even check their own work? I feel like the process of writing the script for the episode involves writing the beginning, the conclusion and then getting a high school kid who just passed philosophy to write the middle.
Black Lagoon 1-12 (FINAL) + The Second Barrage 1-12 (FINAL)
Cynicism, Black Lagoon is just drenched in it. It was addicting to say the least. Having marathoned it over the weekend, I couldnt put it down. The crime drama, the dark humor and outrageousness of it all kept me entertained at nearly every minute
Interesting that I decided to pick this show up after watching Jormungand a few days earlier. I like hate how both shows have vomit-inducing Engrish OPs. But the good thing is that they both have crazy female leads who should be stripped of their ability to bear arms. Every time Revy opens her mouth, its just a vulgar symphony to my ears that sends euphoria to the brain. Every significant character aside from said female lead is entertaining and substantial despite not being given some more story to work with, which was the case for Dutch and Benny. Being that this is a show where crime factions at sometimes at war with each other, both sides are sympathetic (for lack of a better word) to the point where you don't want to take sides. You just want to see the chaos unfold. All the while we as the audience continue to root for the characters of Lagoon Company. The characters we see are broken people. Damaged goods that don't think they belong in the civilized world. What world do they settle for? A city on the brink of chaos, sustained by money and violence. Especially violence. Speaking of which the action is just a crazy pleasure to watch. That being said, the most glaring problem with it is that it sacrifices too much logic at times for the benefit of being stylish and dramatic.
The various story arcs are so blunt and raw at times that it blows my mind that this anime was able to tackle the material it did without falling flat on its face. My favorite arc had to be without a doubt the
the Vampire Twins
. Some of the shows most over-the-top and dramatic moments come from this arc and it never stops short of being unnerving.
Im no child psychologist but I found the twins to have a sense of authenticity to them. When the female twin is on the boat talking to Rock and she just props herself on his lap, poking him and just getting borderline flirty with him for being nice to her, it just felt so real that I was truly uncomfortable for what I assumed was going to happen next. And of course, what I thought would occur, did.
This show really likes to evoke a sense of pessimism. Every time that ED came up, you just have this feeling that things arent getting much better (for the characters) from here.
(Black Lagoon has a lot of fun secondary characters. It's a shame some of the main cast don't get as much time to shine).
Black Lagoon is a prime example of good execution. On paper, Black Lagoon has no right to be as good as it is. One could argue that it gets tasteless at times. Its directed so well that I just have to set its shortcomings aside. In motion, its just fantastic. Its got entertaining characters, a thrilling sense of adventure and well-paced action to keep you pinned to your seat. If youre on the fence about watching this, dont be. Watch it
in the English dub if youre an American
. Especially the second season as it builds on the foundation of the first and gets even better. 4 out of 5 for both seasons.

Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 1000% 01
Or I don't even know why I'm watching an otome series.
But, hey, it was amusing, the music wasn't bad, the episode didn't drag so it had all the good kickings for a decent anime. I mean, I do see all the potential boyfriends that all appear one after another within a short time frame and I totally expect that the show will never actually choose one.
But, I mean with characters such as Shining Saotome voiced by Wakamoto, at the very least the comedy will be good.

it has been arranged for a Brittanian to marry the Chinese Empress. This would create an alliance between Brittania and China, and fuck up Zero's plans again.
Zero is not pleased.
He shows up to the party uninvited and Nina tries to kill him because's shes a a silly psychobitch.
Zero offers to play a game of chess.
His opponent purposefully tries to lose. So he tries not to win.
Or something. Its stupid.
Also, why are all these lolicons fighting over
a very young child empress
in the first place?
Anyway, while all this crazy shit is going on in Chinaland

Taking the high-school setting route was one of the worst possible things this show could have done. It's sad to see how little the script has going on for it when the sakuga is absent.
I think part of it is that anime is a much more collaborative effort. You can do an effective story about making manga with two or three characters and have it feel authentic and easy to follow. I don't think making anime is boring, but it's a much more complex story to tell, and might not lend itself as well to long form storytelling in the vein of something like Bakuman.
Apart from Horo losing to Haruhi and Irisviel losing to Yozora, all acceptable losses. Are there more prelim rounds or is this the entire tournament here?

Apparently this year it's round-robin for each division, then single elim tournament for the top 16 of each division, then a final single elim tournament for the top 8 of the two aforementioned tourneys.
Why do I know all this? I like studying rulesets! Sue me.
