Well, outside of HF, there's no reason to be summoned as part of his duty. He's summoned because Rin had a catalyst for him and he's present in the Throne of Heroes like any proper Heroic Spirit.

Aren't Counter Guardian still a subsect of Heroic Spirits? Either way, when summoned by the Grail, they'd become servants, no matter if they were heroic spirits, anti-heroes, or counter guardians. Archer has the usual 'Archer buffs' like Independent Action, etc.

It got revived pretty recently as light novel chapters appearing in a magazine or something like that.

It certainly works for things like Koihime Musou where every character is a genderswapped Romance of the Three Kingdoms character.

Ah... it worked? How? But the harem-master male MC was entirely removed from the anime franchise, in favor of sexual jokes and lots of yuri-baiting! The girls are there, but not the guy, so I can't quite see it working from a harem standpoint...

Of course, the change was very much for the better in every respect, so it's good that they did it.

Maybe something like this is nothing new, but the situation on Lupin the Third: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine work described by Eddie Mehong (didi) is so stressful (http://www.catsuka.com/interf/forum/viewtopic.php?p=388675#p388675)! They are working continuously and practically during all hours of the day, all days of the week. People in charge of production sleeping on the studio, without going home.

Reasons for this? Apparently the pre-production for the series was very long, and now because of that they are trying to keep in-check for the coming deadlines until the end of June.

That sounds like any TV production where the staff are really trying to keep the quality high. I was just reading how Miyazaki and Takahata's team on Heidi, Girl of the Alps spent a year like that during the beginning of the show.

Yea ok the wiki explains it better. Since Archer had outside help during his lifetime he isn't considered a 'pure' Heroic Spirit but is still under a subcategory and can be drawn. The wiki though does seem to back up there being a belief component to all of this as popularity is needed. That would explain why Mainyu was summoned in the first place during the 3rd Grail War.

Takahiro Baba, the President of Visual Art's, tweeted on his Twitter account that he and the staff of Visual Art's shared the anxieties and expectations among the fans over the production studio of the Little Busters! anime. However, he made a decision when he saw the enthusiasm of J.C.Staff and Warner Bros. Japan for producing the TV anime. He said J.C.Staff and Warner were great companies and asked the fans to trust them.

On the official twitter account of Key, one of the staff explained the production policy of the Little Busters! anime. Although the order of the events might be different from the original game, there won't be alterations in the story nor anime original characters. He said the length of the TV series is significantly long, but still it was necessary to shorten the original story to adapt it to the limited number of episodes. He added that the relationships among Rin, Komari and other new members of the Little Busters team might be described more in detail than in the game.

I know especially with Dynasty Warriors still selling, I don't believe there hasn't been at least one or two characters marketed in Fate stuff. I don't understand the lack of Japanese historical figures like Miyamoto Musashi or whatever, when they're so prominent and common in anime.

Just started watching Wakfu again. Honestly guys, give this show a spin. It might be French, it might be Flash (still looks really awesome, though), but it's one of the greatest things Madhouse was ever involved in (as consultants). As an added bonus, the specials are actual animes: Noximilien was done by Madhouse proper, Ogrest was done by Ghibli of all studios. It's really, really fun.

Don't worry too much about that, just enjoy HeartCatch, what Hito means is that it takes a while for HeartCatch to really do something to distinguish itself from other magical girl shows, but when it does, it gets really awesome.
