It was the best show of last year and continues to be one of the better ones this year.

I really fucking love the cockpit-porn in F/Z 14. The way the pilot's helmet and stuff are drawn and colored is extremely appealing too. Fuck yeah!!!

Damn, did they seriously need to spend 8 minutes redoing the same scene over with Yuuko visible? So damn lazy. Silver Link probably ran out of money or something. I'm sure they won't do it again, but damn is that a bad first impression.
And what the hell is Kirie doing there? She's not supposed to show up for a while. Weird.
After the repeated scene, it was pretty good. I liked the elevator scene and the view of the town was pretty.
Probably going to watch this to the end since I am a pretty big fan of the manga. I hope they handle the tone shifts well, but I think they will based on the elevator scene and the mouth at the end.

On a rather less expensive note, I picked up a copy of Space Adventure Cobra on DVD today for about £3 after hearing talk of it on this weeks ANNCast. I actually saw that movie about fifteen years ago, but kind of hated it at the time. Turns out I had absolutely no taste in my youth. Turns out it's a pretty neat movie - not especially spectacular in terms of physical animation, but there's some very striking visual imagery to it.
Too bad the DVD I watched it off was pretty terrible, but I suppose I can't complain too much given the price. I might have to pick up the Discotek re-release when it comes out.

no need for that lol. I'm pretty certain some people on here, probably who don't post as much in this thread have entire walls of DVD/BR. I have a large collection but to think mine would be the largest or even top 5 is pretty laughable. I don't make that kind of money and probably never will. I will probably be a pretty active buyer for many years though. Its a hobby that really never ends.

If you want my honest opinion, I think youre better off not having all this stuff, because you wont feel compelled to keep growing it. Once it gets to a certain amount, you just want to keep adding more to it. You figure that since you spent THIS much you may as well buy that. and that. and THAT. Do you see what I'm saying?
Its more of a curse than a blessing. But I guess at least it doesnt hurt my ability to pay bills and shit. Its all off the top.

I get the desire and the drive. I was the same way with video games and older consoles most of my life. It wasn't until this year that I put a stop to it, not because of financials but because I got sick of it. I can always respect someone who can do that AND keep up with everything else in life.

Yeah if it starts cutting into my living expenses I will obviously quit it. But I have been fortunate.
If you sold your collection you could probably buy a small house with the money, so I think you're probably going to be okay.
I'm actually the same way with video games, though. If I was ever in such a desperate situation that I needed to sell my entire collection, I could survive for a really long time off the money and probably start a new life anywhere I want (within reason). I really never ever want to be at that point, though.

Bootleg so you'd have to check bootleg sites. It's most likely the TV versions though.
Looks like a bootleg to me. I rather suspect it'll be based on the initial fansubs, so it's probably the broadcast versions.
Could be wrong, though.
