Awesome!
So glad I don't have to download that again. On my slooooow DSL line, it took a good 3 days. Was ridiculous.
NM my post, just checked the SWTOR forums.
"If you have played in our game testing program at any point from November 25th onwards, you will not need to re-install the game client, as you should already have the launch version installed.
To verify that you have the launch version installed, you can check for the "assets_swtor_main" version file in the following location on your computer: \Program Files (x86)\EA\BioWare\Star Wars – The Old Republic (assuming default installation). If you have that file present, you do not need to reinstall the game client."
Pre-Ordering the Game only allows you access to the Early Game Access period and your Color Crystal. Early Game Access may be up to 7 days. The length of your Early Game Access depends on the date and order in which you redeemed your Pre-Order Code.
Are they making early access earlier?
So apparently it starts on the 13th. Think they increased it or just a typo?
Steven Reid confirmed it is NOT a typo

No, December 13th is not a typo.

Obviously they're timing it with the |OT|.
Early Game Access *starts* on December 13th. Emails will be sent on the day you get access.
Yes, this is different from previously advertised. I'll post in Forums later with more details.
My body.....I guess the title should be "Star Wars: The Old Republic |OT| Early Access is open!" or something like that
Glad I read this post, as I thought I had to re-download it again, and was just about to uninstall my test build.
Also, does anyone know if they will be selling time cards for this? I much rather use that then have to put in my credit card info. I haven't been able to see a listing for any time cards at retailers yet.
Reid just twittered
Bioware's final pre-release troll.Geez, so you'll have no way of knowing what day you'll get to play till you get the actual email? Harsh.
Not to mention:

What does that even mean, "Starts on the 13th"? Do only some people get in on the 13th?
What kind of early access system is that? "Oh sorry, only these randomly selected people get to start playing first!" "Pre-order to play 2 hours early!"

Bioware really has serious communication issues. Pulling this out a week in advance screws over anyone who may have took time off, people may have had plans on the 13th/14th, and even worse you have to spam your inbox every day waiting for an email? The whole play sooner based on the date you pre-ordered feels like something they wanted to do simply because it was different than what the industry norm is. Should have been the standard all preorders start on the same day system, I've never seen an MMO since WoW unable to handle the load and there's been multiple MMOs that launched with over 1 million people within the first week.
This is going to sound batshit crazy, but guess what? You don't HAVE to play on the 13th and 14th!
Whoa
Did I just blow your mind?
You people are completely ridiculous.
I would spoil it but the way they end the Revan story in TOR is even more insulting... seriously.

By the way there is no grace period. If you don't have you serial key on the 20th you won't be able to play until you get it.
Fair and equal starting times is important in an MMO, since for many people it's a race to the level cap and the best gear. Someone with a head start at launch is also going to have an enormous advantage when it comes to the economy.
I don't personally care all that much since I'm not very invested in the game, but I do find it completely ridiculous.

-_-. I'll give Amazon till the 18th to ship.By the way there is no grace period. If you don't have you serial key on the 20th you won't be able to play until you get it.
That is incredibly stupid considering how shitty Royal Mail can be in the weeks leading up to christmas :/
