Cancelled one of my pre orders :\. Gonna play on my gf's account for a bit and see if I like it any better than the beta. Good luck to Bioware Austin!

To all the people complaining about no grace period I ask this. When exactly would you be able to play if there was no early game access? Thats right, not until you get your copy of the game. So you are getting up to a week to try the game prior to ever giving Bioware a dime, just for preordering, and you are still complaining? This is crazy. When can you play any other game that comes out? When you buy your copy. This game gives you a week free some of you whine.

Good point. I guess its no big deal.

Exactly, versus someone like me who is.

I preordered a physical copy for about $35 during a sale awhile ago, and when they announced a grace period, I knew that keeping my physical copy would be fine and I wouldn't bother with a DD.

Now, I have to either order a DD and hope that I still get the same amount of early access if I do this, or go out at midnight in freezing cold weather and hope that I don't miss any play time. (Hoping the server maint they say they're doing at midnight lasts longer than expected.)

I don't think you would lost game time since your subscription doesn't start.

But, yeah, I wouldn't want to stop playing. =P

There will be a grace period. Don't worry about it. EA likes to test the waters and see the community reaction before committing to spending/losing even an extra penny on anything. They did the same thing with Warhammer Online. They claimed there would be no grace period, everyone freaked out, EA apologized and magically enabled a week-long grace period. They will do the same with SWTOR.

a Finnish retailer says they will start shipping on 15th, but seeing as they have huge storage problems ( some idiot decided to move storages right during the busiest christmas season) I hope I'll have it by next year at this rate :p

I just bought the Razer Naga for this. I couldn't help myself.

I've been using one since it was originally released. I have one sitting in my closet for when this one breaks, and if for some reason they become discontinued at some point I will buy 5 to 6 more.

Needless to say I love the naga. I hope your experience is as good as mine is. Also it takes approximately a week or two to get used to it, but then it's second nature.

Sweet, all the positive feedback is getting me excited to try it out. I've been using a logitech m400 or something for a couple years. Great mouse, nothing really wrong with it... but just playing this beta for a weekend I had keybinds all over the place. The Naga looked too good to pass up.

Do you think the Razer Naga is better than the Naga Epic? Or at least better for the money?

I've never even heard of it. I got the Naga last year sometime. At first I was like "wtf is this shit" but after a few days, I didn't even consider looking at another mouse. Thing is godlike for games.

I honestly couldn't live without my naga. It's probably the best PC accessory I've ever bought.

It's a pretty nice mouse (my friend just bought one) but unfortunately those buttons are really tiny if you have even slightly larger than average hands. I really prefer my Logitech G9 just for the weight/size; a lot of the razer devices feel like toys when I'm using them. It has less side buttons but it's not any harder to map them to keyboard buttons I can easily reach.

Once I broke my habit of using numlock for autorun (a habit since since EQ1 '99 lol) I liked my naga a little more. I didn't fiddle too much with it but when I hit numlock it would throw off my keybindings. I would've preferred the extra buttons to be considered m1-12 instead of keyboard buttons for binding purposes. I still don't like how my hand rests on it though.

Just got an ASUS G74sx for this so I wouldn't be so tied to my mancave. I don't know what it is with mmo releases but they make me spend money a lot more freely than I do normally. $15 new release on BLU? Wait until $12.99. New laptop for MMO? Sure sign me up. Shameful secret: I built a new pc for FFXIV. TOR should finally put it to some use.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I gotta stay away from this game. Nice looking Star Wars RPG with World of Warcraft crack sprinkled in? That sounds like a social life ender for me.

Must....resist....

Whatever.

I'm thinking of getting the redesign when I have the money. If I remember correctly, it's the exact same as yours, just the current model.

Operative PVP video ~ level 20. After reading someone else talk about it and actualy seeing it in this video, I'm going to try setting up "q, e, r, f, v, c, x, z, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" as hotkeys, with their "ctrl" and "shift" versions, as well. I think with 39 hotkeys, I should be ok to endgame.

Ugh - I really want to pre-order this game but I'm real wary because of my internet data cap (250GB and gone over already just with Netflix). Yay Comcast and the future of data. :/

When the Orioles crap out midway through the 2012 season you're going to need something to distract from the failure.

I'd switch to ESDF from WASD. It opens up a & w and gives better access for t & g. It also let's your hands be naturally resting in a type-ready position allowing for easy transition.

Looking at getting a Naga myself. Hopefully they'll be on sale during Boxing Day. Too bad I never found that one that stole my bike.

BTW, did anyone keep the music on during beta? I tried, but just like other MMO's it got too repetitive, what with the Corn on the Cob and other songs over and over again.

Maybe it's technically more impressive, but that mouse is ugly.

I'll keep it in mind.

You guys think Powertech bounty hunter will be a viable MT?
Really? Are we still asking this? I'm losing all hope for humanity here.

Most modern MMOs launches use early access or a head start program to both a) reward folks who either beta'd or pre-ordered their game and b) help alleviate congestion in low level areas during the game's official launch. Most of the publishers of said MMOs normally allow a grace period for entering a retail code into your account b/c they understand that shipping incidents crop up, some people may need to go get their copy at a place faraway and wait until the weekend etc, and allow them to keep playing for a couple days out of good faith.

Now you might say at this point "Well, EA/Bioware isn't most other companies." That much is painfully clear by now. That doesn't change the fact that as recently as August, their Senior Community Manager point blank said that there would be a grace period. That doesn't change the fact the cut-off applies inequally to different Timezones (midnight for EST? Fine go to bed, but 9pm PST? That's half the evening. 7PM PST for Hawaii/AK? Sorry bros, don't even bother), or that Collector's Edition orderers (i.e. the folks who've given Bioware an extra $90 for some trinkets) are the ones who really get screwed because there is no equal digital recourse for them.

Anyone who ordered a physical copy of the standard edition can simply cancel, buy the digital version through Origin and keep playing w/o interruption. CE purchasers don't have that option unless they want to either buy an extra copy for $60 (pay them yet more money) or forgo the CE content that they wanted in the first place.

The flight plan I just filed with the agency list me, my men, Dr. Pavel here. But only one of you!
I want an early access grace period just so I can take off the 20th and play all day instead of waiting till around 3 for UPS to arrive.

I AM THE 99%

Just cancelled my CE preorder from amazon in favor of my SE preorder. Couldn't justify the extra $90 when I'm not sure how much time I'll be sinking into this

I tested over Thanksgiving weekend. Do I need to delete that client and preload on orgin where I preordered or can I just leave this install on my machine?
