After much debate, I decided I wanted to join in on SWTOR...
Ah.. decided to read the Early Access FAQ before pre-ordering. Darn rolling starts. I'm pretty sure I've missed the boat on the 13th early start. Guess I'll just wait it out till the 20th, get the game a little cheaper with a giftcard at GameStop. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Same. I was this close to ordering it after much debate to play with friends who already had it preordered, but then I figured they'd play on the 13 and I'd play on like...the 18th, or something.
No way I can catch up in leveling to these crazy bastards!

Dude, I've had so many emails over the last like, 9 months, saying that I got into the beta, but I've always been at school with only my Mac, so I couldn't ever play

Every poll I've seen has been this essentially:
Empire favored over Republic
Either force users in the 1/2 spots
Trooper/BH a close 3
IA/Smuggler a distant 4
DPS 1, Tank 2, Healing 3
edit: oh you mean guildwise? no idea. i bet it would be similar though

OK something is wrong, My account got locked and I am unable to login!
During the security question, it refused my answer 4 times even though I'm typing the answer correctly!
Now I am on the phone calling SWTOR support.
Have been on a queue for more than 30 min. now !!

So I am playing a low played class, sweet Smuggler Healer is going to be my first. Then Trooper Healer. I am staying far away from the force users as I am not a fan.
I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago, had to sit on the phone with them for 2 hrs to unlock my account. Once that happened I changed my answers to the shortest easiest all lowercase things I could lol
This is the breakdown as far as the Empire side goes.
25 Sith Warrior 21%
28 Bounty Hunter 23%
28 Sith Inquisitor 23%
19 Imperial Agent 16%
20 Undecided 17%
So it's pretty healthy in terms of numbers of different classes. Lot of BHs and a good amount of IAs as well. The undecided's will of course fill in the numbers elsewhere.

I've been planning IA since it was announced, so I'm happy it won't be one of the most common classes.
Not officially sure what type of IA I'm going, as I've healed in WoW a bunch back in the day, but have gone tank in everything else, so Ranged DPS would be a fun change.

So, I know that we had some discussion about the community from a Republic/Empire perspective earlier, but am I right in saying that Empire was generally the more irritating community all around? Thinking through my options before making a final decision (again).
It always kind of surprised me how Alliance gravitated towards being the worse of the two in WoW, I guess it's that "ugly races" thing the Horde had going on for forever.

Are they doing anything other than letting the GM know what server the guild is on? Like a pop up on the server browser for guild members or something notifying which server to choose? After looking into it, I won't be there on the first day of early access, and knowing how things have been handled, I probably won't get an email or whatever until later in the day, and I won't be able to get a hold of some guildies until later the next day. I don't want to see them having to instantly re-roll onto our proper server.
Sucks that it's not coming to fruition that guilds who were green-lit are not getting in on day 1 and they're still sticking to that stupid staggering. They should have maybe put 7-days for these guilds, and then kept the 5-days as intended for all those who pre-ordered asap. Sure, would have been a dick move, but so far it doesn't seem like EA and BioWare really don't give a shit about dick moves (grace period).

Do we know if that's just before launch? Or always?
I'll be putting what servers the guilds are on in the OP.
Hopefully if it works out it should be very simple, one for the EuroGAF guilds, and another for the NAGAF guilds. I guess we'll know sometime tomorrow if the recent news post is anything to go by.

Yep, I haven't added it to the OT yet because I wasn't even aware of it's existence until a few days ago and keep forgetting to add it in.
