I need this game, and I need my PC to be able to run it. Played a bit of WoW tonight, and while I like the game I couldn't play for more than 30 minutes without getting bored.

I need a new MMO.

There are a couple reasons for this. One being the massive download, the other being... well, I don't know if I can mention that part, but it's par for the course when participating in certain types of betas.

The game that wouldnt work if you tried to load it before you tried to play. Yea i dont think anyone would have taken that deal.

Thanks for the PM. Still getting awful frame-rate. (my PC is not bogged down, it's clean, only 800 MB of ram being used, I keep it minimal and free of bullshit).

My friend who is on a lower end machine with a 9800 (still way above min specs), can't even play the game right now.

Whatever the reason, the game is playing like complete and utter trash on some systems.

If you do get in the beta, definitely expect to wait for the client to download overnight. :p I've been going for at least 7-8 hours now.

Still didn't get an invite. Arguably my laptop does fall under the... wait, were the system requirements minimum or recommended?
Most likely minimun, and my laptop falls under them... So i've NEVER BEEN ABLE to get an invite yes? I mean they've gotta have had an idea what's minimun for the game...
Or they tested that anything similar to my laptop is too weak and skipped those with my luck.
Eitherway this sucks.

On the other hand, 27GB download would cause some problems... i don't have enough space in either C: or D: drives... and very little what i can uninstall (250GB btw)

By all accounts the EU servers are a total ghost town even at prime time, so either they skimped on the invites or the randomness of the invite process has fallen through a lot of unread email accounts. Either way the EU beta is looking nothing more than a token gesture at this point (considering how long NA testing has been going on).

Slightly worrying considering when they plan to launch this year.

Well fuck. I just realised, my brother might've gotten an invite but he is in the army right now and he doesn't usually check is the email his TOR account uses, i usually have to remind him. And the next time i see him is 12th day, earliest. Or was it 11th? Doesn't matter much...

Send him a txt message and tell him to check his email? Unless he's in the forest, which I doubt he will be at the moment, he can just go to "sotku" to check his email or use another soldier's laptop to check the mail.

Also damn you all who got in!

Hmm. Yeah, can't help but feel slightly apprehensive reading this. Obviously, it won't matter hugely as (hopefully) bugs will found will be fixed across the board, but for EU Server testing, and back room adjustments? Not too sure.

Sort it out Bioware.

Congrats to those who are getting invites, seems bioware is opening the floodgates a bit. To those who are still hoping for invite, use the force? Maybe it will help you join us. :p
