Im on firefox & it works. Maybe go to about:config & fiddle around with stuff. No idea what though.

Thanks to leaks and sites like Betacake, beta testers aren't allowed to post useful info on the beta forums anymore, like patch notes or info about companions.

Well EA is asking us to pre-order the game now. Least they could do is relax the NDA a bit so we can read about WTF we are buying. So dumb...

Right. What did they expect people to do? Pre-order without a release date and a NDA still intact and don't even try to get some information? Restricting communication between testers is nothing short of paranoid and stupid. There is a chance this won't decrease leaks at all, but it will definitely decrease quality of testing and feedback.

Honestly, they should be glad for the recent leaks. They would probably have fewer pre-orders without them.

it sounds to me like they're stifling discussion between beta testers which in my opinion is hugely negative for the game as a whole.

I didn't get an email invite, I got it through other means (didnt buy, or win it). Either way, without telling you anything about the game, I can safely say that it is a lot of fun to play.

Betacake goes down so leakers send info to alterswtor; alterswtor becomes decent. Betacake comes back and leakers have found a new outlet. Pretty poor planning, I'd say. Hopefully they'll get more leaks while alterswtor is down.

Hopefully for their sake. They've been reduced to posting LotRO leaks as of today. lol

Well, at least I learned that LOTRO is level 75 now. Not that I even got past 35, but still. Crazy numbers. Was 60 I think when I was playing maybe 6-8 months ago.

Also, new beta dudes. Pass on some vague info to us once in a while. Just to keep us wide eyed & such :).

EA leaves some games in the dirt in terms of marketing, but I know it's going to be full out for SWTOR. Possibly even more than BF3 or ME3, who knows.

EA has to go all in with SW:TOR, if hugely successful they will be making bank every month for the next couple of years.

Since ME3 is Bioware's baby, EA better give it some marketing love also.

Classes and Combat (good stuff here)
The expertise stat (which increase character effectiveness when fighting other players) has been added, along with a dropdown for PvP damage and healing stats on the Character Pane.
Each class no relies on ONE primary attribute to boost damage and healing with ALL ability types
Attack power rating has been removed
Power rating has been added. In increase damage dealt by all attacks
Surge Rating has been added. It increase the magnitude of all critical damage and healing
Shield rating has been added. It increase the chace to mitigate incoming damage with shield items.
Training costs have been rebalanced across all classes
Ability training costs have been reduced overall.
The stun break ability now becomes available at level 9 (down from 18)

Bounty Hunter
Extensive changes have been made to the BH, its advanced classes and its skill trees
The pvp balance of this class has been improved
The variable heat system has been rebalance to provide maximum regeneration from 60% heat and upwards, increase capacity for burst damage and healing.
The Firebug tree is no the shared tree between both AC's. the Advanced Prototype tree is now available only to powertechs.

Imperial Agent
Significant changes have been made to this class and it's skill trees to improve viability in pve and pvp
Replaced group speeed increase ability with infiltrate, which provides a 15 second group stealth field
Added a regeneration indicator with a tooltip that describes the Agent's resource regeneration

Dude. I feel your pain. I signed up on the site near launch and I know that I put myself in for the beta on the day it became available. People getting 2-3 invites is fucking dumb. Yeah, that's right - I said it!

Every day I wait patiently for my invite to show up and I get giddy when my email notification rings through. Is it the long-awaited, coveted beta invite? No. It's another fucking TGIF coupon telling me I can get "buy one get one free" Jack Daniel's entrees!

RAAAAAGE.
