Been in the beta queue since 2008 and I live in Canada. Still no invite/love. Ah well, I have a pre-order so I guess I'll wait another month.

Oh, sorry, I've been a member of the site since 2008. Whenever they opened the beta registrations I signed up, as in that day or pretty close too.

Same. At this point, I actually don't want in the beta anymore. All I really want to know, and perhaps some of the people in the beta can answer this without breaking NDA, is one thing:

Does TOR have a decent amount of "fluff" content; i.e. non-combat pets, mounts, fishing, etc that you can do when you run out of main story and don't want to raid? I will likely roll at least one alt so I can see the story from both sides, but after that there needs to be a reason to keep playing besides rolling more alts or raiding.

I swear they've taken off the system specs part for the beta sign ups, I got a new graphics card so I went to go update my info and I can't find where to change it at all. Weird.

No "fluff" content at all outside of crafting. Mounts are limited to the speeders they've shown so far. I don't even think the ones hey showed off at SDCC are in the beta yet.

There will be non-combat pets at launch...at least one, as the CE comes with one.

Yes, system specs are gone. Looks like they vanished a couple of hours ago. I guess they are done with hardware and system testing, which would make some sense if they are indeed down to polishing.

Currently, on an I5 2500k and 6870 with 8gb of ram. The beta is playing worse now on my PC, then virtually any PC game I have ever tried on it. Crysis performs INFINITELY better. As does Metro, and various other games.

They have some major work to do if they want those specs to even come remotely close to being playable.

They have tons of debug code running in the background probably. Hopefully. Haha

WTH? We have about the same PC (6970). ATI driver issue maybe?

And yeah. I'm on the 2.5 year bandwagon, CE preordered, and no beta invite. Oh well. Not sure I would play it anyhow as I don't want it spoiled.

I have a i7 desktop with a 5770 and 8 gigs of RAM and it runs smooth as butter.

My three year old laptop is a 1.6ghz Core 2 Duo with 3 gigs of RAM and a GeForce 8800. The installer said the CPU was below the minimum reqs, but it runs well enough on it on default settings.

Check your PM. There's something to change in the options that may help. Sending a PM now.

Pre-ordering has nothing to do with getting in the beta. It's random who they choose.

That's disappointing, but not surprising I guess. Hopefully they plan to add something along those lines at some point. Thanks for the info.
