A friend in my DnD group just got into the beta today. It's the same one as mine, not this weird HK-47 thing that's happening.

As an ex-hardcore WoW raider playing good portions of Aion, Rift, and Age of Conan, I will report my most unbiased impressions of this game.

I need some diehard WoW player (preferably someone very good at PvP) to tell me if the combat is smooth, fluid and responsive in SWTOR. That's the only thing I'm worried about.

Considering thier is an NDA in place and we have Team Members who work on the game that visit this thread people do need to keep that in mind.

People wonder why gaf guild wont get an invite lol

Not only did my friend get in after 3 days, I too have been registered for two years. However, my wide just signed up (from a different ip) and it included a version of an NDA. Hmmm...

Well got that impression from his reply to a person saying you dont need to be in a hardcore wow guild and that invites were completely random lol

I don't take myself too seriously in mmos! it's okay lol.

But I figure some mmo experience from hardcore/softcore standpoint would be a good way to gauge some stuff in beta testing stuff. So many people sign up and get into betas without really really testing stuff. I think from the FF14 beta I tried, it was just more about people complaining that it wasn't FF11 in the tester forums than actually pointing out stuff for them and giving good feedback.

I fogot I signed up for this a year or so ago and today I get a invite to the beta (no preorder or anything).

Looking forward to trying it out, even though Ive sworn off MMO's.

Only reason I resisted giving these heathens any information. I like testing and don't want to lose out.

Every time I see a number on that gmail icon indicating that there's a new email(s), I prepare myself and get excited, only to be let down each time. Checking my email hasn't been the same for the past couple of weeks since all these people have been getting their invites. :(

Hhhmm haven't really been following this game, but just saw this thread and decided to sign up for an invite. It worked with BF3 so might as well give it a shot.

That's because most of people on this site are hardcore gamers who get hyped about a new game every other week, buy it, play it until the next over-hyped game comes out, and then move on. People who primarily play MMOs are a different breed.

I know why I'm not getting an invite. They know they already have my money. They can say it's random all they want but you know they're taking pre-orders into account now.

Or maybe that's just how it feels at this point. I should probably just forget about the game but I can't seem to put it out of my mind. Ugh.
