I now can't get into the game with the new character I created after playing for a few minutes and logging out. Same bug.

For the love of god. Thought I'd minimize the game as I'm waiting in queue so I could play something else and listen to some music but every 30th second there's some junk craft whizzing past with the tackiest, crappiest sfx I've heard in years.

Alternative is losing place in queue and turning off sound.

Dammit.

If you're on Windows 7, a single running program can have its sound disabled if you click "mixer" under the general sound options button in the lower right corner of your screen. I did this while in the queue. You'll have to check back now and then though to see if you've reached the end of the queue though, obviously.

Most of the regular beta testers i was chatting with last night were in agreement that they would avoid logging in this weekend due to the insane amount of stress these servers will be on due to weekend testers.

I am still not sure which side I want to play at launch, but thinking of Sith Assasin at the moment and avoiding playing that class/character through beta.

Also bought a 120GB SSD and 8GB RAM Upgrade for computer over BF to have it going before SWTOR is released.

I've been on the start up loading screen for 2 hours.

Customer service rep said to wait till it loads into that server then change to another server.

Game seems pretty good. Combat is surprisingly fun and probably the best part of the game. I'm playing a Jedi Knight and I love the leap you get. The range of it is awesome.
I'm a little disappointed with how linear the experience has been so far, I'm hoping it opens up a little as you progress.
Feels kind of like KotOR but there so far hasn't been anyone interesting to latch onto like those games.

And yea, log out times are absurd.

Waiting times are horrible. How can they expect players to want to test the game when its in this state? 10 min wait i can understand but yea... More servers!

I've had a pretty decent experience so far. No que times, runs pretty good all around. Switched up to Trooper and damn, much much more fun. I think in the end, I'll be rolling a BH tank. Range tanking sounds very interesting.

Depends on the area you're in. If there's a lot of people questing, it's going to lag. Happens with any new MMO. When it's fairly clear, I stick with 60fps.

This game is back on my radar. I remember playing the Sith Inquisitor in another weekend and that class' storyline sucked. Just a bunch of NPCs treating you like shit. Now I'm playing a Bounty Hunter up to level 5 and this storyline is much better. I also like the Bounty Hunter's shoryuken ability.

I think after this weekend, BioWare will have a good idea of what they need up to make launch as smooth as possible. At least on the US side of things. I hope the EU gets a good launch as well.

I'm playing the trooper. And I like what it's given me so far. I'm sure there's going to be a bigger picture involved for for now as a starting point, I'm the soldier out following orders, etc.

Also, not sure whether I have it in me to play a Sith and be all dark side. It is easier though to get more credits that way...hmmph

Yea, my mouse sensitivity is lowest but the thing I had to adjust for best feel is lower the camera rotation speed. Otherwise while I was running moving the camera would just cause my character to spin around.

Holy shit. The male Consular has the worst voice acting I've seen yet from a main character. I had to stop playing one because I hated the voice so much.

Now i remember why i don't play casters in MMOs. Casters are robe users and robes look god awful without any kind on cloth physics... They have decent physics for capes, why not for robes as well

Game feels a bit janky overall.. Even basic thing like moving camera around feels laggy. There is also quite a bit of stuttering and game doesn't even look very good. Environments are large, but feel pretty lifeless, standard old skool mmo stuff i guess.

Hopefully things get better once things get further.
