For the love of god. Thought I'd minimize the game as I'm waiting in queue so I could play something else and listen to some music but every 30th second there's some junk craft whizzing past with the tackiest, crappiest sfx I've heard in years.
Dammit.
If you're on Windows 7, a single running program can have its sound disabled if you click "mixer" under the general sound options button in the lower right corner of your screen. I did this while in the queue. You'll have to check back now and then though to see if you've reached the end of the queue though, obviously.
That means you haven't gotten the "when you can start" email yet. Which means you are most likely Saturday or Sunday.
3h queues? Oh dear... the launch is going to be fun.
NOT!
Too bad you can't switch server once you've shut the game down!Only some server have queues?
Most of the regular beta testers i was chatting with last night were in agreement that they would avoid logging in this weekend due to the insane amount of stress these servers will be on due to weekend testers.
Oh god what race do I choose for a consular..
I didn't know there were races..
Ill be here all day
So you can only submit tickets, no option to submit beta feedback or am I missing a button?
Yea I'm not touching it, and everyone I know whose in regular beta also is like "fuck this weekend"
OK, why am I getting 30 fps on "high"? The game looks terrible too. What kind of performance is everyone getting? My machine shouldn't be having any problems
I think after this weekend, BioWare will have a good idea of what they need up to make launch as smooth as possible. At least on the US side of things. I hope the EU gets a good launch as well.
This game is back on my radar. I remember playing the Sith Inquisitor in another weekend and that class' storyline sucked. Just a bunch of NPCs treating you like shit. Now I'm playing a Bounty Hunter up to level 5 and this storyline is much better. I also like the Bounty Hunter's shoryuken ability.
This shit won't cut it at launch:
From the Bioware forums and in the launcher:
Hello testers! This weekend you may notice that many servers display as Full on the server selection screen. However, these servers are only completely full and unavailable for immediate play if they also display an estimated wait time.
Only one of those servers you listed is actually full.

Prophecy of the Five isn't full. I was just playing on it. Had zero wait time before playing. You just posted a screenshot with 2/3 servers not having queues.
Do TOR goggles blind people to 2 day queues?

Is anyone else not interested in the story at all? I think that's what I'm missing most about this.. I just don't give a shit about the story or lore
Mainly curious if anyone else is getting this game for the gameplay/raiding/sight seeing versus dialogue ?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. If you tweak around with lowering the sensitivity with the mouse and camera use, the game feels a whole lot better.
