Yeah that was pretty awful and killed my interest in the game almost completely until the Australian Christmas update. Now it's half a year later and I don't have the Haunted metal or any of the other cool stuff from that were available for those few days

Everytime I play Counter-Strike I feel like that fat kid on the basketball court that jsut doesn't belong.

I'm all like "Ooh someone dropped an AK for me, he's nice" and I'm running around following teammates and BLAM FLASHBANG and then I get shot through the door in so many ways that I can see them shooting the wall behind me just to make sure I died.

My favorite thing to do in my brief counterstrike (source?) playtime was to spend all my money to buy the super heavy machine gun, the one that's also in Mirror's Edge and has the handle on top.

I'd then pop up/run around corners and spray people point blank with it. I wasn't good at all, but it was hilarious when you would occasionally kill the "good" players with it, and they would semi-rage.

You can't connect the serial to Steam. You can add it to your generic library (like anything else). As for GWWL achievements, you'll get them no matter where you purchase. It's a GFWL game. Don't remember if Bully had achievements or not.

RE: BF3 - I would say the best bet (due to EA/Steam) is to pre-order on Amazon if you want bang/buck. They're likely to have $10/$20 of credit (if they haven't already). I am sure any retail boxed copy can be registered in Origin/EADM.

I think EA understands this is their Half-Life 2 and they're going to imbed as much functionality as they can. BF3 is their Trojan Horse and they seem to know it.

I believe the rating logo is based on the region of the Steam store you're using. For example, typically, I'm greeted with the Aussie MA15+ rating logo, but, say, if I throw cc=us at the end of the Steam store home URL, the same page displays the ESRB equivalent. See:

Yea i put 200+ hours into the xbox 360 version but I feel like I could do another play through and enjoy it. It's funny the whole time I was watching my friend go through LA Noir we wouldn't stop talking about GTA IV and how awesome it was, made me want to go back and play it.

It'll be pretty on that set-up. Just understand the console versions were running on really low settings. So don't go thinking the port is a failure when you can't run with the sliders cranked to 100. You can dial those sliders way down and still have it destroy the console versions.
