Next, you'll have people mad at Valve because they bought a game a day before it went on sale.

Wait.

Don't forget some purchasers of the Orange Box feeling burnt by TF2 going F2P 4 years later, as well as Portal being available free for a short period - twice.

I think people were mad about paying $4 to preorder when the bundle started off at $3.

It also took forever to creep over $4. As long as you bought it within the first day, you could have received it for the less than the pre-order price. Previous bundles shot past $5 pretty quickly. But that's ok. Unlike some of the humble bundle sales, the Steam codes were game specific. So I just gave away CSTW/BOD7 and Eufloria (which I already owned) to Gaf.

"I am so annoyed that I spent $29.99 four years ago!"

The arguments against TF2 F2P are ridiculous. Also, the turnaround. You'd think that Team Fortress 2 announced that it was gay or something.

"Screw the dozens of friends I made playing the game for 500 hours. I could have saved $30!"

So, after Dungeon Defenders and Bastion were made into daily deals, I am not really sure what is left for me to buy in the winter sale. Those were my two most wanted.

I will pick up Clash of Heroes HD if it is more than 50% off (already own the DS version), but that is really all that I want. Sure, there will be a few random $1-4 indie titles that I will impulse buy, but I have already snagged most of my most desired 2010 and early 2011 titles. The sale is too early to get a reasonable discount on AAA titles released from August-Nov.

I will be on vacation most of the holiday sale, so I'm pretty much banking on the last day wrap up sale. If there's a TF2 item for the Christmas Steam achievement game I will have to cram it all in a few days.

Jase can you ask him what he thought about my Thanksgiving Sale Thread :3

Also, get him to add me, FFS!

Also, Also, if you are making that GIF orange, make it go back and forth.

Mafia 2 is awesome, just tried the demo. The fighting combat and gunplay destroys gta.

I gave him the URL to your Steam Community page, and he just said he's already talking to you, so my work here is done. *disappears into the ether*

So you didn't enjoy Mafia 2 at all then? 90% of the game is driving from one side of the city to the other as a chauffeur for one of the story characters.

It would have been nice if it had a fast travel option like LA Noire, but then the game would only be like two hours long.

It definitely had too much driving but I don't think it was THAT much. There was one mission where basically all you did was drive but it was more interactive fiction. The one with the drunk guys singing in your car.

Joe's Adventure DLC was pretty good.
That plus the great music.
Yes! I guess a lot of people didn't appreciate it as much as me but I really enjoyed the 40's and 50's soundtracks they put in there.

There were times where I'd arrive at my destination but stay in the car to finish listening to a song. I really need to go back and play through Joe's Adventure already.

NightSky is a really neat game, but, yeah, that resolution shit bothered me. Don't so much mind the no gamepad support, but I probably would have used it if it existed.

I hope the HD version is a free update for Steam users. U:

So now I know why Nightsky was initially rejected on Steam...

Wasn't Valve being evil or arbitrary, the game just runs at super low resolution and has no scaling options, just surrounds the game area with enormous black borders if you go fullscreen. Also no gamepad support.

Despite that, seems neat.
Was there confirmation of that being why Valve rejected it, or is that just a logical guess? (I wonder why they didn't even scale)

Anyone have any good recommendations on a BT dongle to use with my DS3 to get some comfy couch and stay warm gaming time in over this Christmas break?

Believe Blackwell is from the Gemini Rue publisher, and supposed to play similar to that.

I'm all in then.

I had thought GR was developed by a separate guy, Nuernberger or something like that; it was only published by Wadjet Eye. Or is he involved with Blackwell too?
